  • Re: penta 2

Hi there and welcome to Beoworld, $1,000 seems a little steep for a pair of Penta IIs even if they are cosmetically mint because the mid range drivers in Penta speakers suffer from foam deterioration over the years and at around 20 years old, a pair of Penta IIs is likely to have this condition! To fix it means having the foam rings replaced which can

  • Beogram 6500 dust cover

Hi guys, I have been searching for a nice Beogram 6500 turntable to complete one of my Beosoystem 6500s. I have noticed that several of the Beogram 6500s I have seen recently have dust covers that are sagging in the center at the back of the cover. Is this a common problem with these turntables? Thanks, Aaron

  • Re: Penta display dimmer

This is somewhat bittersweet. I'm a little dissapointed that my Penta II's don't have the dimming capability , but on the other hand, it's good to know that my speakers aren't malfunctioning! I do find it interesting that the Beolab 3000s, which were introduced a year earlier than Penta II's, would have display dimmers. Thanks

  • Re: Penta display dimmer

Hmmm... According to beocentral, the Penta II's were fitted with display dimmers. Does anyone have a pair of Penta II's with dimming displays, or is beocentral incorrect in it's description? Aaron

  • Disconnecting Beolab Pentas

Hey guys, Are there any problems with connecting and disconnecting my Pentas from both my Beomaster 6500 and the power supply numerous times in a short period of time? The user manual seems to imply that once they are set up they should remain that way unless there are amplifier issues. Thanks, Aaron
