  • Re: Beo5 warning!!

The glass screen for the Beo5 is no longer available. The replacement Beo6 screen (which contains the Wi-Fi parts) will not fit on the existing Beo5 "ball". That means that the ball has to be changed as well. Opman

  • Re: BS5 sw update

I have HTC Wildfire S and used a free app called "Skifta". It worked perfectly with BeoSound5 both ways. I can play music stored on my phone through the BeoSound5 AND I can search for music stored on BeoMaster5 and play back on the phone. Via the headphone socket I can play through any AUX socket. Opman

  • Re: Whether to unplug or to leave TV on stand-by?

Some years ago I heard of a customer's aerial being hit by lightning. He had unplugged the lead from the wall socket. The lightning travelled down the cable to the wall socket then struck his living room floor causing structural damage to his foundations. The loss adjuster apparently commented that he should have just left the TV plugged in. How

  • Re: BS3000 and BeoCom 6000 help needed! Thunderstorm damage?!

Hi Rob Our house was hit by lightning on Good Friday. We were watching a DVD (non B&O) on the Avant. Instantly the Avant and Sky box which was in stand by blew. Also took out my daughters LCD TV in her bedroom and my BeoSound3000. Initially I thought that the stereo was ok as all functions operated normally bar one - no sound! The BeoCom6000 and

  • Re: BEO6

I have used both Beo5 & Beo6. The later has a larger screen and I found that I struggled to reach icons in the top left of the screen. I am right handed and my right thumb couldn't reach all the way across without adjusting the position of the remote in my hand. It seems to have become a two handed operation that is not as natural as Beo4. I

  • Re: B&O recommends OPPO

Not only is Oppo in the PUC list, it can be conneceted jack to jack (instead of jack to I/R blaster). Also if ordered through a B&O dealer it can be specified without the manufacturers logo appearing when it starts up. Opman

  • Re: Virgin + HD

The Virgin+HD can be controlled with Beo4, Beo5 & Beo6 via PUC in the current range of TVs. You may need your PUC list updating. Opman

  • Re: Beovision 10. Where to buy? London based

[quote user="chris"] Agreed. Ironically when even some of the better make were pretty ropey, B&O was about twice the price. Now even some of the bulk standard tvs are pretty good they are in some cases 10-13 times the price! Madness. And why am i getting prices of £950 quoted for a Beosound 8? Is this correct?
