Would I have bought a Beo10 if made in China. Hell No. Unless of course it was the same price as a Samsung.
If it were made to the exact same standard with the exact same materials and it was exactly the same, why would it matter where it was made? I don't see the difference

Dkatz, Regarding movies on demand. This works for sure excellently from many vendors in the US, but try to access these with an IP address coming from outside the US. There's a world outside the US, and it is HUGE. Bigger than Texas.

Whatever the quality of the router, 5m is within every routers capability... Strange, can you lend another router and try?

20% loss of currency value to Euro over that period does not help
True, it would be interesting to see the same data for the Danish & German markets.
I have an old B&O pricelist from 2000 (pre-Euro) in FIM. The Beosound 9000 was roughly 15000 Fim, or 2500 euro

Obviously it wouldn't be feasible for a small manufacturer to build their own panels.

I would like to see a B&O financial spreadsheet from.... 1996, or 1999, or 1989. This is when products like the TV's was priced at about twice that of the competitors high-end model. Silly inflation hadn't started. Obviously the strategy with a 20.000 euro TV didn't work out.
