When using the 4500 as a slave in a link room, do mean stand-alone or is it connected somehow to the MCL?
It's connected to the ML or MCL and can, therefore, play an audiomaster source from another room connected to the ML or MCL. Note, however, that connecting the 4500 to the link will interfere with N.Music

I have 2 Lintronic units and 2 expanders. However, I haven't used them for quite a few years now. While Michael at Lintronic is very prompt in resonding for support, I found 2 huge shortcomings at Lintronic: 1.) Many of the solutions are geared more toward professional installers and require more tech savy than the typical user. For example, there

The US Avant can ACCEPT 480p and 1080i. However, the US Avant can only DISPLAY 480p on its own monitor. The 1080i signal can be forwarded to a connected projector but cannot be displayed on the Avant itself. When you have a projector connected to the Avant, it's ideal to have BOTH a component connection for 1080i and a composite or S connection
What do you mean with "slave" mode? It is the timer function I would like to have.
It's worth noting that while the chip makes the BeoSystem 4500 2-way with compatible remotes, it also removes the option to put the BeoSystem 4500 into "slave" mode. I have my BeoCenter 2 connected as the slave and can play a cd using the DVD function. However, that might only work because I have it connected to a BeoSystem 3. I'm not sure. You could always use a BeoSound 4 or BeoCenter 2 as the audio master and make the BeoSound 5 the slave. However, in such a case you would need to use the BeoSound 5 or BeoCenter

I would suggest considering a second-hand BeoSystem 1. They can be found at a very affordable price now. You'll have masterlink for your BeoSound 9000, powerlink connections for all of your B&O speakers, and PUC control for your Beo4/5/6. The BeoSystem 1 can conrol the Apple TV and most blu-ray players. Monster makes an HMDI switch that can

I was having a similar problem. However, I found something odd to happen: After getting the "invalid configuration" message, I would charge the Beo6 for about an hour. Then, when I would reconnect the Beo6 to the computer via USB, the Beo6 would turn on and show that it had, indeed, loaded the full configuration and functioned perfectly.

Wow. That's quite a nice set of speakers you have. Having BL5 fronts with BL9 speakers as surrounds is certainly decadent, but I would envy you!
The difference is that you'll have to create a new queue once it has played.
I agree. The Beo6 wi-fi works great; however, there are some features of the BeoSound 5 that are lost. You have to go to the next screen of the Beo6 to find the "hidden" RED N.Music screen to be able to access playlists
