  • Re: White noise and how to minmise it.

Hi guys: Thanks for the input - guess I will sit on it till I connect some speakers to it properly and see if it is actually a problem or if it is the headphone jack. Thanks again Graham

  • Re: White noise and how to minmise it.

Hi: Thanks for the information. Whilst I understand in theory what you mean (I think), I do not feel I am competent enough to open up the unit without blowing myself and the projector up. I was thinking would the mass of cables in close proximety and connected to the projector unit such as roof antenna, freeview box and speakers be creating some kind

  • White noise and how to minmise it.

Hi all: I hope that the title of this thread is correct because I am guessing as a direct result of extensive research - wikipedia! I have just got hold of a CRT projector for free from a friend and have set it up with a freeview box and set of PC speakers connected to the projector's headphone socket - this is the only way to output sound whilst

  • Re: Transporting my Avant 28 by car

Hi: This has been covered before and is a bit of a moot point really. Either way is not ideal and depending upon the age of the TV and how much it would cost to buy a eplacement preowned one you might be better renting a van, strapping it to the side and transporting it that way. That said, when I first took delivery of my Avant it was transported on

  • Is this electrical smell normal or should I get someone to look at my TV?

Hi all: The MX4000 that I have finally started making regular use of (it was in storage for about a year) has just recently started emitting a electrical type smell that can roughly be compared to warm TCP. It is not very strong but is noticeable if you concentrate on it. It definitely is coming from the TV as if you move towards the back of it the

  • Re: MX4000 keeps turning itself on and off

Hi guys; Thanks for your very quick reples - the Freeview box is also Philips maybe as b&o and Philips probably have some components in common this is why it does it - I will try and disconnect it and see if it works. It definitely sounds like this is the problem. Thanks Graham

  • MX4000 keeps turning itself on and off

Hi Everyone: My MX4000 keeps turning itself off and on when its in standby mode and switches in andout of "V.Tape" - a Freeview box is connected to this. This doesn't happpen regularly enough for it to be an electronic fault (in my opinion) as it happens iregularly say once or twice every few hours. Last night (this is my bedroom TV) it

  • Re: I'm sick of B&O manuals on ebay!

Hi: I don't know who it is but I seem to remember that someone from here complained directly to the person doing it and he replied with something like "only trying to earn a living guv" (well probably not the guv bit). Totally out of order as far as I am concerned. As a student I am on a bit of a tight budget. However come September I

  • Re: Beomedia: IP address error message

Hi: The advice I am about to give you is based upon a simillar situation I had when I was building my home network. I cannot remember the exact procedure or where exactly the options are on Windows to sort this out (I assume you are using Windows). Hopefully someone will be along at some point to fill in the blanks or correct me accordingly. Right:
