  • Re: Difference b/w beolink converter 1611 and 1614

Hello Keith Thanks for the info. Mine has the grey transformer with the red socket so I assume its 220V.But the PCB is somewhat very diffrenet from the one in your picture. But my software says: B&O 1614 SW 1.0 8342509. Don't know though if ordering a new s/w will make it work.

On the 1614, it is specified that voltage should be 230-240V at 50 Hz, so I don't suspect power voltage as the issue. The software is 1.0. Any suggestions ?

  • Re: Ideas for a new product

Introduce PLC (PowerLine Communication) interfaces to all products to replace MasterLink, so that all products can communicate data, sound and video through power sockets in homes. No more cables, no more unreliable wireless communications. You enjoy music, video wherever there is a power socket in any room of your home.

  • MCL to ML in link rooms

I just want to share my new experience using the Beolink Converter. My home has an existing MCL cables to link rooms with MCL 2AV boxes, and I have always thought (also confirmed by many dealers) that I cannot use new link products with ML sockets. Although some logic tells me it should work. So I bought a beolink converter type 1611. And it appears

  • Connect beogram CD to AUX link in TV

I am wondering if anybody has tried connecting a beogram CD (4500, 6500 or 7000) directly to the AUX link socket of a TV (MX or LX series). I would expect this to work since datalink is transmitted from TV to the beogram CD. In this case TV should be configured to Option 2 so that pressing CD will activate the beogram or Option 1 in which case AV CD
