Leslie - The MCP 9000 has all the capabilities of the Beomaster 7000, plus the CD and Tape player. The only advantage of the Beomaster 7000 is that it has a built in amplifier to drive passive speakers. So hooking the Beomaster 7000 to the MCP 9000/AV 9000 does not give you a benefit. The MCP 9000 is a masterlink product, which is a different type of

Yikes! Thanks. I have downloaded the repair manual - not too helpful. Is it straightforward to get at the lithium battery?

Hi Leslie - What you have is a very rare item, called the XTRA Speaker Kit 7000. I have two of these. It allows you to have a multi room setup with one of the two way B&O Audio system masters (Beomaster 4500, Beomaster 9000, Beomaster 6500, or Beomaster 7000). The 4500 and 6500 do not support the RDS display feature (radio station text information

Is there a beolink 7000 expert here? One of mine recently exhibited strange behavior. Volume no longer lights up, and in every source, the blue screen displays the controls for the tape. This happens when talking to either a 4500 system or 7000 system. All other Beolink 7000's are working normally. All commands go out properly. It also does this

Thanks. I successfully completed the conversion! It took about 15 minutes of soldering.

I have a german beomaster 7000 that I wish to convert to 110v. The repair manual shows changing taps on the transformer will make it work. Is that all there is to it?
-
That did the trick on the 7000 in the same room as the 4500. They work now as long as only one Beolink 7000 is in the room. I still have intermittent function for the unit attached to the XTRA speaker system.

Nitro2 - on your other reply to me on the voltage conversion, I see you have the manual. The card layout is shown on page 11-5. Look on the far right top of the picture to see the pins for the connector socket. The connection of the pins to the circuit is shown on the bottom left page of 11-3 in the service manual.

When facing the front of the 7000, the connector is a 4 pin connector on the far left end of board 4 at the top. I was in error, the connector is P98, not P89. The DIN connector you have on your unit looks identical to mine. The Service manual for the Beomaster 6500 has diagrams in the back for the Beomaster 7000 that shows the circuit connection.
