Another couple of thoughts for you. Did you know that the CD 7000 has a digital output? That provides another set of options for connecting. You can get a Beomaster 5500/6500/7000 to go with the CD 7000. They all have the same form factor, but different finishes (except the 7000 which of course matches). In that way, you can get remote control of the

I have an Avant setup with my Beosound 9000 (as just an audio source), Beosystem 4500, 2 Beola 6000s, a passive subwoofer, and 2 Beolab 4's as rear speakers. 99% of the time I just listen to CD's on the Beosound 9000 played through the Beosystem 4500/Avant on Speaker 4, so I can enjoy the surround sound effect. In other words, my Avant is the

I have a budding whole house set up based on MCL and a BS4500. In my link room with the BL7000 XTRA setup with BL5000's connected to the MCL2AV, I'm thinking of connecting my "new" BS9000 using the aux in/out jack to the MCL2AV. Will this work? How would it work with the BL7000?

I am considering getting an LCS 9000 to connect to my Beosystem 4500 via MCL. So does the IR unit work in two way mode?

Well...the Beosystem 2500 is one way, so it will not transmit the RDS information back to the Beolink. However, it will display the station info on the 2500 itself. I believe only the BM7000 was the only 2-way remote compatible master unit that had RDS capability. I have the BM7000 and the BL7000 and they make great music together, and the BM7000 really

Thanks. The online manual listed that command, whereas the paper manual I have does not have that. So if I'm playing the radio from the 4500 through the speakers connected to the avant, the Sound button brings up the bass/treble commands, etc, but there are no numbers lit up. However, if I press AV RADIO, then I can issue SOUND 4 and put the system

I primarily use the Avant to play audio from my Beosystem 4000 to a 4 speaker surround sound setup. I want to use the Beolink 7000 to put it in Speaker 4 mode, instead of having to to use the Beo 4 every time I turn it on. (There is apparently no way to put the Avant in a mode that defaults to Speaker 4).

Well, I'll be damned. Shift-radio-7 on my beolink 1000 made it work. As did Panel-setup-option-shift-7 on my beolink 7000 (pretty ugly). HOW did you figure this out? Where is it documented?

I have a BS 4500 in one room, connected an avant via a ML/MCL converter box in the same room. In the link room I have an MCL2AV connected to active speakers. From the link room, I can select any of the sources connected to the BS4500 by directly pressing the source on the remote, without pressing link, and I have independent volume control. I tried
