  • Re: av9000 help needed...

"if i plug the aerial lead from the sky box to the main rf ('uhf/vhf') socket on the tv, i can then watch terrestrial tv on the av9000 but nothing on any of the link tv's ?" Therefore you must have a lead from your aerial socket on wall to the sky box aerial in, lead from rf output 1 or 2 on sky box to the AV 9000 If you were getting

  • Re: the new b&o philosophy

Re-badging video recorders is an old B&o trick, the Beocord V3000 is a dead ringer for a Hitachi machine, then they didn't even bother to change the casing. Also look at the powerlead on a V6000, I bet it will say hitachi. Re-badging is a useful tool for a company of B&o's size, it allows them to increase their product range and meet

  • Re: BeoLink issues using passive kit.

I am connecting to beosystem 3, which of course does have component inputs, but when I tried it it would not distribute, which prompted me to contact B&o. They told me it would not distribute unless converted to composite, which you appear to have done, I assume you have connected 2x rca analogue for sound distribution as well? I dont have rf link

  • Re: Apple TV - Wild goose chase?

I don't have rf link amp, but i have simply combined rf output of bsys 3 with along with rf2 output of my sky box for distribution, it works fine, I get dvd & sat on other tv's, and also control of sky on a couple of non B&o tvs using sky dinky link. Glad to see that the consesnsus seems to be that I will require a converter, I will

  • Apple TV - Wild goose chase?

Ihave been trying to figure out a way to distribute the picture from Apple TV to link rooms. When I first set it up I used the component leads in to input of beosystem 3 and got nothing. On consulting B&o i was told that the beosystem 3 would only distribute a picture via rf modulator if the input signal was composite. I have since trawled the internet

  • Re: BeoLink issues using passive kit.

OOh! This is really interesting, B&o's technical people have told me that you cannot distribute apple tv without converting it down to a composite video signal. Can you give me more details, such as what input you are using on bsys 3 chassis, what the input is named, and what link tv's you have, I assume your distributuion is standard ie

  • Re: Which Set top Box (avant UK0

Definately stick with the stb controller route, if you have the topfield box it has twin tuners so that you can record and view different channels. If you have b&o's DVBT module (in which the subtitles have to be disabled completely because of a bug!) it does not allow you to record one freeview channel, and watch another. Additionally if your

  • Re: Connect harddisc to BV 7-40 mk III

hi there, You are correct, you will need to connect the hard disc recorder via scart in order to distribute the picture to another B&o tv, as the RF modulator needs a composite video signal to work. In addition to masterlink you will also need to combine the rf aerial output of the beovision 7 40 with your aerial system, as the picture is distributed

  • Re: BeoLink issues using passive kit.

Try giving the apple tv input a different name temporarily, something that is not unusual like DVD, and try that. If it works then yes you may have an issue with the passive, I would try all the possible different names available to see if one would work. If not then look at software upgrade for passive. Just out of interest do you get the picture from
