1974 DS23 Safari, stablemate is a rare 1966 ID 19 Confort ex French Embassy delivery in New Zealand. Both cars right hand drive. Thanks for the compliment - the Citroën Ds and B&O are both design icons of the period.

Thanks Peter, I thought that might well be your answer, the right choice for me too I guess. The hard part is purchasing those components here in Tasmania -impossible. Mainland Australia it is possible if I wait a long time with fingers crossed. Europe and ebay is my best bet I think, then my fingers hit the right buttons and a few weeks and many Euros

Did I mention I was excited ? Today I purchased a Beomaster 4000 from a seller in the USA. While it is the USA model, I think ( someone please correct me here if I'm wrong ) that the Beomaster 4000 should also work for 230 volts 50Hz, assuming the USA model 2408 only changed in its mains voltage. Hi, My first post as a prospective owner, may I please ask if a CD player can be used with the old beomaster 1700 ? If yes, then which B&O units would be suitable ? If no, then which model B&O amplifier/receiver ( keeping in mind that I prefer the early style ) would I need to seek out ? Thanks, I look forward to being a useful owner once I
