I have an even simpler solution. I just mounted 2 small hooks on the wall and hang the speaker on them. I will post a picture of it later.

You should be able to update the DVB-HD software yourself with a USB pen. The software can be found at http://www.bang-olufsen.dk/dvb-hd/software-downloads

I Also had a problem with noisy fans in my BV8 40. But after I updated the DVB-HD software to 0.1.6.6.0 it disapeered. So I would try this first as an easy fix

I wouldn't get my hopes up to high about a dedicated TV set from Apple. I guess it could be more like airplay licensing to other TV manufactures just like the sound systems with integrated airpaly. But it's all guesswork so time will tell.

don't think there is much chance for interfacing other way than through the masterlink. Another solution could be an Irtrans box that come in both USB and ethernet and now also a wifi version. this box sends commands to the tv via an IR eye. There is a specific B&O version (455 khz). http://www.irtrans.de/en/
