Listened to a beolab 3 for some time now, and compared to classic speakerdesign I think I miss some "midrange". I don't know but perhaps I like the more straightforward sound of a non-acoustic lens speaker. Has anyone here had the same thoughts? I ask this because the acoustic lens design seems to get little or no critisism, reviews are

I don't understand why the design of the Beosound 8 provokes such hefty reactions. It looks fresh and to-the-point, does not resemble anything that already exists. B&o have changed their design some 10 years ago, coming out of the Jensen era. Why didn't for instance the Beolab 9 trigger these reactions? It's not a clear beauty either
-
I have had them both, the 9500 and 9300, with beovoxes the 9500 sound much better, with beolab I don't know if there is a difference because then the apm isn't used. Besides I read on this site that the used components in a 9300 are of a lesser quality than in the 9500. The makeover was clearly intended as a cost-saving operation.

The amplifier in the BC9300 does not go below 70 Hz (!) so that's a major shortcoming. (BC9500 starts at 20 hz)

Soundquality better than BC2? Do you mean to say that the CD player of the BC2 sounds sounds worse than CD7000?
-
Will the Beovision 6 be upgraded, or is it to be dicontinued in the near future? I would regret it becaus of it's beautiful design. There're not many site-visitors that seem to regard the picture-quality as state of the art?

Bought a Beomaster/cord/gram CD7000 myself last year; the cord isn't working but that's no problem because I don't use tape, it came for free with the rest. The most important is the very good CD-player that the CD7000 is. Never heard a better one. Very clean, very detailed, beautiful bass. The master 7000 is a good amp I think.

B&o always has been expensive, MX tv's were not for free back then. Anyway, I think complains about pricing/pricelevel is too much a subject on this site. Would like to see more discussion about products, capabilities, quality of B&o. Yes you can buy a good performing AV-product elsewhere for little money, always was that way. So feel free
-
Medicine requires a lot diplomacy... I think this discussion is de-railing. Haven't heard the Beosound 8, but aparently it's a very capable product for reasoable price, at least for B&o that is, so why the fuss? If the thing sells in large numbers it helps B&o to continue their business, make more money out of expensive products and

As said above, mention a post-70's B&o product that isn't largely produced in the far east.. and put together in a beautifull danish-manufactured aluminium box. It's the final product that matters.
