  • Re: Beovision 4-50 Compatibility with Beosystem 3

Hi Al, Best check with your dealer or B&O technical directly - they can tell you straight off the serial number. I don't recall any issues with BSYS-3 not being compatible on older BV4's - but you best check with the dealer. If it's not a HD ready panel though, getting a BSYS3 won't help you achieve HD. Thanks, Martin.

  • Re: Naming Screens

Hi Greg, I am just sorting out my BeoMedia menus - do you still want info on this? I have to say, given the hype from B&O about BEO5 being the perfect partner for BeoMedia, I was hugely surprised to see that there is not built in menu system for BeoMedia, unless I am missing something? N.MUSIC and N.RADIO have menus, which are basic but fine - and

  • Re: IR code setup

Hi Jacob, check out my post on Beo5 with Sky + - it tells you how to set up the code for accessing the planner. (Go-1 then Green) If there is anything else you want to do, post it and I will try to help. Thanks, Martin.

  • Re: 4 speaker for music

One thing that I don't think has been mentioned here is that when you select the SPEAKER 4 option, the processor in the TV (BeoVision range I am sure of, not sure on other models) actually plays the music in what B&O describe as 'Enhanced Stereo' mode. I can't explain in detail what the processing does, but if you change between

  • Re: BEO5 with Sky + / Sky HD (UK)

Just a final update for anyone who finds themselves in this position and reads this post - I reprogrammed the hard keys for STOP and PLAY when in the DTV menu, the STOP button had a Play and a Stop command attached which seemed confusing. Now it just has 0:000:TV:STOP. The PLAY button had the Stop command on it, so now it has 0:000:TV:PLAY. So thats

Torben? Not Torben Ballegaard Sørensen is it? I had the software installed on my laptop some time ago by a contact who, to be fair, I could never reveal the identity of! I only have it installed here on one machine, and I don't have the installation file - so as much as I would love to see keen users be able to make good use of the software

  • Re: BEO5 with Sky + / Sky HD (UK)

Hi Keith & Blackbeard! I have added a 'PLAY' button on screen in my DTV menu on the BEO5 - this now works. Not sure why the actual play button doesn't, but the virtual one does. If anyone else has this problem, the code behind the virtual button is 0:000:TV:PLAY (simple eh!) I also added a planner button, which is really useful rather

  • Re: BEO5 with Sky + / Sky HD (UK)

Hi Keith, Many thanks for the reply. I didn't get the software from the dealer who supplied the remote, as they are not authorised to do this etc etc. But I did get it through some contacts I have. Thanks for the CIFFER advice - that is working now. I tried the individual digit lines before and they didn't work, don't know why but there

  • Re: 4 speaker for music

Hi Massimo, I personally like listening in Speaker 4 mode, even though I trained as a sound engineer and know all the reasons not to! However, getting a BeoLab 2 is definately the next thing you should do in my opinion, not a pair of BL4's. You won't really hear any quality of sound on the BL4's compared with the BL8000's, so I just

  • Re: 4x Beolab 8000´s and 2x Beolab 2 !!?

Oh, I just realised you are talking about stereo listening only! No, just don't do it!! The BeoLab 2's would be far too close together and would not produce any kind of positive effect. Can't see why you would need that much as fronts, when indeed there are better speakers that would make an incredible difference. With such an awesome TV
