I like it, but I'm surprised that the concept is so limited - especially being the product of ex-Apple guys. The concept is actually fantastic, that it learns your behavior and reduces your interaction by anticipating where you'd like the set-point to be. Just think if Apple got this idea in its teeth. This may well differ in other countries, but in the US, homeowner's insurance is usually very good about covering lightning strikes and other power surges. The warranties attached to the surge protectors have proved less reliable.

Sounds like your dealer is going on a wing and a prayer. It's supposed to happen pretty soon, but there's no confirmed date that I'm aware of.

I'm very sympathetic to a finely tuned sense of aesthetics (where would B&O be without them?), but if you look at the thickness of the ripper it would hardly change the proportion. It's funny that the term retro was so readily applied. Seeing it in person there's nothing retro looking or feeling about it. It's just a very simple design and in many ways even cleaner than the BeoSound 3. If you were designing a portable fully digital speaker system I can't imagine a much better form factor. The sound is astonishing
