Maybe you should put an actual record on the platter? The tangential Beograms have sensors in the platter that determine which record size (7", 10", 12") is being used and set the arm position and platter speed accordingly. If there's nothing on the platter, the unit will stop and return to its home position.
On the bm1900. I brought a spare bm1900 to the office and installed it in a meeting room. A collegue, age 25, came in and sad: Wow that is the latest model, is it not. And he was not joking but looked pretty confused when i told him that it was from the mid 70´s.
I like the BM2000/3000 more than the 1900,
The (2) missing switch caps Ray needs for his BM3000 are the same as the caps on a BC2000.
Those seem to be pretty standard anyway, just drop me a mail with the address and I'll send them over. However, that will also mean *my* empty case is missing them!

I scrapped my BC2000, because, unfortunately, the belts were completely nackered and the motor was completely useless. Getting a new motor would cost me just as much as getting a pre-owned BC2000 in decent condition. So, because of this: Offering an empty Beocord 2000 casing, in OK condition (some scratches on the front plexi), with working LED and

Great idea, this one! Might be able to trade or swap stuff, I've got a ton of spare parts lying around, capacitors, switches, LED's, with no useful destination. Kicking it off: Offering parts from a Beocord 2000 (model 2921, August '83), notably boards #1 (power supply/control) with heat sink attached, #2 (aux. control), and deck mechanism

To complement my Beosystem 2000, I am looking for a Beogram to get some great sound out of my vinyl ;) Of course, I can get the original Gram 2000, which is a decent unit, but I'm considering an upgrade to a tangential one. I am looking for any Datalink-capable Beogram with tangential tracking, so the 9000, 5005, 3000 or any compatibles will be

The humming and thumps sound like the power capacitors may be dying, and the power supply may be leaking AC hum onto the main amplifier supply voltage.

Little update, for the people who would like to fiddle around with the Datalink/Beolink protocol: As the codes are the same as for the B&O remotes, sending and receiving Datalink codes is supported in the LIRC and WinLIRC (Linux Infrared Remote Control) packages! The only thing you need are a base resistor (470ohms should be OK) and NPN (BC547/550

I'd get the 2000 or 3000 in that case, since it can also link up with other B&O gear (not multiroom). I'm not a big fan of the 1900 / 2400-2 styling, and you can get a complete BS2000 (Gram, Cord, Master 2000) with a couple of S45's for 150 quid if you get a lucky deal.

Eerste ingeving: Los contact naar de LED, kapot weerstandje of kapotte LED. Het LEDje vervangen kan trouwens geen kwaad. Wel goed om monteren!
