Theese turntables are getting older, and the mechanical parts are siezing up. I have had the problem with 3 Beogram 4000 series (one 4000, one 4002 and a 4004), all has been stagnant in a decade or so. This is a great record player that have the looks!
Do you think there is any demand for newly machined
You surprise me ! Maybe iTunes is different from ATV, but according to my iTunes it is available in all 3 BENELUX countries
Yes, iTunes is, but the iTunes video and movie store is not available outside of the US. We can only purchase music through iTunes, not watch movies or TV shows.
the ATV is 3x more expensive than the Sony box :-(
Also keep in mind that most services on the ATV (such as the iTunes TV/movie store) are US only. IMO, the thing isn't worth more than 'other' movie players here in Europe, so I wouldn't even consider purchasing it.

I just got a Beocord V6000 VCR from a recycling store. The unit was untested and in good optical condition, and I figured you couldn't *ever* go wrong with something that said 'Bang & Olufsen' on it and had a price tag of €7,50. Obviously the guys there were pretty clueless as to the brand's reputation and market value. Interestingly

Snappy looking laptop. I'd imagine a major IT player like ASUS to start dealing with a big designer like Lewis (or Jensen, for that matter). I'm a bit concerned about the portability of the thing, it looks quite fragile for an everyday-use notebook. I'd keep it more or less on the desktop, the 18" screen with the speakers is quite huge
Unfortunately a BS3000 would not be much better as they deleted Datalink from the Aux socket! The problem is this: 1. For the Beogram to work, it needs to be attached to an audio master (the 2300) and to have a data connection. It would use the input connections. 2. For the 2300 to work with the BV3, you need to use the
Thanks a lot Peter. Sorry but I'm only new to turntables and vinyl - so can I use any wire as I didn't get any earthing wire with the turntable? And is there a special way I'm supposed to connect the wire to the metal casing of the DIN plug? Apologies for my stupidity here as this is my first TT. Thanks again
Hi please confirm which model TV you have. In general terms you will need to run separate audio via scart or rca phono, but it is all irrelevant if you cannot select DVI-I, i.e. you do not have an HD module upgrtade.
Does the DVI-I input port on the Beovision support HDCP? If not, that could be the issue
