Here's mine: Gear: Beosystem 2000 with Magnat Art 145 speakers. Tuner on the BM2000 is currently out-of-order, so it basicallly functions as the main amp for my HTPC and phono deck. Beogram 2000 with SMMC4. Vision: 22" monitor (awaiting 37" HDTV), digital TV set-top-box, DVD player and Wii. A Mac Mini currently serves as an HTPC and feeds
interesting that b&o renamed the beomaster 3000 after update in beomaster 3000-2. according to the article in beocentral are the differences minor.
If you are looking for the 'old' Beomaster online, pay attention to the model numbers. 2402 is the one you want. The 'newer' Beomaster 3000's
Well I got the BG3000 and I was disappointed with the build quality. I had the chance to hear a Clearaudio deck so I went with their new Clearaudio Concept and await arrival. Very simple deck, clean lines, all manual (just about the opposite of the BG3000). Got a great deal on it used as well so I couldn't pass
Stoney3K, You are absolutely right but the caps in question here are sitting at the extreme output, in series with the speakers. The amplifier is running on a single supply so the caps are needed to isolate the DC at the amplifiers center rail from the speakers. They need to be fairly large in capacity and voltage rating
Hmmm yes, that method sounds good...Have you ever heard of the clearance problem with the dust cover? Speaking of sounding good, Jethro Tull's Too Old to Rock n Roll (too young to die) really has some nicely nuanced string and percussion parts that I never realised before listening through my
I am getting ready to do a recap on my BM3000-2,I have most of my caps.I am using Elna Silmic and Wima MKS,but am having trouble finding "audio grade" caps for the three large 5000uf/70V caps.My question is:Do I really need "audio" grade caps or is this just a gimmic?I have some 4700uf caps and 5600uf
Thank you so much that was very helpful!
If you want to move the Beogram further away, you can use an external phono pre-amp (most audio stores have them), but you will need to find suitable adapter plugs if you want to keep Datalink function. The Datalink is fitted on pins 6 and 7 of the DIN plug, but most

I'd look at this as a device with possibilities -- I'd guess if Struer were to build a new 'Beosystem' type device, it'd look something like this, with accompanying devices. The iPad would be the Master Control Panel 6, the iPhone/iPod Touch would be the Terminal 6, and all information would be exchanged via wireless (WLAN or Bluetooth
Good idea about the fuse...any idea where it is, and how I can check it? I'm in New York, btw...
Stupid answer: I've given this a lot of thought, but the only thing I can come up with is that the fuse is probably in New York as well. Smart answer: The fuse is near the power supply transformer, at the
