  • Re: wishing i had MOTS

Now I have used the MOTS function for a while and like it. As someone wrote here it will find tunes that you have forgotten, and I can really say that many of my CDs are "reborn". It´s also fun to test it a little to see what kind of music it present depending on what tune i start with. You can also "fast forward" in the MOTS

Hello Sean, I haven´t had time to play/try my BM5 but this weekend perhaps. Yesterday I finalized the implementation with cutting a DVI cable and then solder it together, it actually worked! And I´m not an electrician.. The reason is that my BL7 is in another part of the living room and the cable canal is down under the concreteboard. Brgds

  • Re: Are you prepared to pay the pirce for the new BeoSound 5

I don´t how the market will develop for old BS9000 but mine was sold by my dealer after one week after I "gave" it to him as an exchange for the BS5. Brgds ingvar

I think the idea with MOTS is superb. When my myfe comes home she wants calm and quet music for a while. In the evening we wants classic music and on the party we want Rock. Why not let the BM5 decide for us so we just dont always play the same tunes? If I hade made a long playlist by some reason then I just choose that one instead of Mots or an complete

You choose if you want a copy of all music on the computer, When you rip music you can choose the target to be BM5 directly without having anything stored on the Beoplayer computer. On the other hand you have all your photos on your computer i guess, at least before you send it over to the BM5. Brgds ingvar

Yes but perhaps 20-30 tunes if i remember. i´m not at home at this point. I guess you need Beoplayer 5 because there you can connect to BM5. I guess you can just copy files via your ethernet but i havent tried it. I don´t exactly know my price, we made a special deal. Installation was included by the dealer but i did it myself for fun :

In my BM5 there were not so many tunes, I haven´t checked how much of the harddrive that was occupied. I guess the operating system also will allocate place. Yes you copy your music via the home lan/ethernet from a computer with Beoplayer 5.00. 500 GB shall be enough, depends a little on how high quality you load. With Beoplayer as the ripping

Stefan what do you think about the sound Quality? Have you compared it to other B&O stuff in your home? I earlier had a BS9000 and I think the BM5 quite easy outshine that one even if its not a bad product ofcourse. I haven´t done any serious listening in the shop so this was a good experience. I have BL8000 connected. Brgds Ingvar

Hello Mr10. I will gladly help you if you need it. I have Vista on my Beoplayer computer and that is connected via a router to the BM5. The BP shall find the BM5 on the net but there have been problem in other installations with the Vista firewall. One good thing is if you can see what IP-nr the BM5 gets from your router. At one point the BP or Vista
