So now we have bits and pieces floating around in a variety of threads here. Any chance someone who has been keeping a very close eye on all BS5/BM5 related info can summarize what we know (or at least believe) about them and possibly include relevant links and any pics? That would be a huge help to folks trying to figure out what to expect form the

expoman: So how exactly do the Beosound 5 and Beomaster 5 differ? It was said above the Beomaster 5 has a 500 g HD. Does this mean the Beomaster is the Beomedia with a display and the Beosound is just the display? Could you perhaps use the Beosound 5 with a Beoport connected to your PC or Mac while the Beomaster would eliminate the need for a separate

This idea isn't a new one and at least one music server out there already does it. Qsonix licensed AMG's Tapestry solution to implement just such a solution - create a playlist or queue of similar songs to one that you choose. You can create playlists in other ways by choosing certain criteria (mood, genre, year/decade of release, etc), but

Well, it looks like Samsung is going all out with a new phone announced at 3GSM that takes full advantage of the B&O partnership. It's called the F400 and you can see details and a picture about 2/3 of the way down this page: http://www.mobile-review.com/exhibition/2008-3gsm-samsung-en.shtml Notice the 2 speakers revealed when the phone is slid

Henry: Upon my current understanding of the BeoSound 5, I entirely agree with Simon. For now I don't think I really want to move into digital with my media entertainment at home. I am quite happy with my CD collection and CD player. Do others feel differently? I can't speak for what B&O may deliver, but I can tell you that there are solutions

BeoNut1: After reading this article, I'm really interested to see what B&O is going to do with the BeoSound 5. It almost sounds like they're going to set up a Kaliedescape-like system ( http://www.kaleidescape.com/ ) that incorporates some sort of software (ala Amazon.com) that makes suggestions to you regarding future music choices. Here's

Here's the article with impressions of the i450 with comparisons to the Serenata: http://www.infosyncworld.com/news/n/8465.html Looks like the Serenata's speaker is better, but the i450 is pretty competitive. Interesting. Jeff

You have to love the power of the internet. Obviously, for one, it allows for conversation to take place amongst folks spread all over the world - like this forum. In a couple of instances, it's also allowed me to reach out for and get assistance from other folks with the same interests who were getting a chance to see in person the latest and greatest

I had some back and forth emails with B&O customer support in the last week regarding the Serenata. After seeing the info on the SGH-i450 announcement, I wrote back asking if they had information on how much the Samsung SGH-i450 shared with the Serenata - specifically if it was using the same amp, speakers and EQ. Now, I doubt I will get anything

If I had to guess, I'd say that B&O knows exactly what Samsung had plans to do and not do. That kind of thing is almost certainly explicitly spelled out in their partnership. This is a difficult area for B&O and frankly, for me, a puzzling one for them to delve into with their own branded handsets. They obviously know the complexities of
