The sound quality could benefit from the DAC of the BS5E which is potentially better than the one in your current setup. However the BS5E does not play Apple Lossless so it looks like the BS5E is not an option for you. Except if you convert your music library in FLAC or WMA Lossless... which iTunes cannot play

Many thanks to you all for this valuable feedback.
[...] if compared to the best decks [...]
Which ones are these: I thought BG4000 and BG8000 were the two best in the range? Thanks, js
You will get a bit more bass with the BL4000s and a little more subtlety with the S45.2s. I would take the latter.
And what about BL3 vs. S120 (which I never heard) as Cleve mentioned? Thanks, js

Same question here. Maybe B&O still have replacement foam ear pads in stock, but if this is a stock of items that were produced several years ago, the foam will probably have started deteriorating already so this will not be a long term solution. So does anyone have another solution for the foam ear pads? Thanks, js

Some time ago I read a post showing the video of an iPad controlling a Mac, but I cant find it back. Does anyone remember? I wonder whether one can use an iPad to control a Mac Mini that does not have a screen attached (and potentially no keyboard)? Thanks, js
