  • Re: Beocenter 2 question

Peter: Datalink was dropped by B&O some time ago. I cannot believe that , this is do disappointing ... One of the reasons why I started buying B&O products in the past was the ability to control all sources with one single remote. Now, if I understand well, if the future digital music player BS5 has no CD drive, I cannot connect a CD player

  • Re: Beosound Century vs Beosound 1

My first reaction would be: Beolink Active linked to your BS4. But: - BS4 does not have AM; and - sadly, Beolink still does not enable to listen to different sources in the master and linked rooms (and I cannot understand why B&O has not developed such a convenient functionality yet). Anyway, I think you would be pleased with both the Century and

  • Re: Beolab 6000 or 8000 - your opinion.

I agree with you, Peter: the 8000 are the most beautiful speakers ever made. They make so much of a statement, without being intrusive. A true masterpiece (in silver/charcoal, of course) and one of the main reasons why I remain a loyal customer. I do really hope they won't be discontinued. I bought my first pair just when they were released and

  • Re: TV Best design ever

    - MX series 55cm, the most stunning design ever - Avant DVD flat screen, a very strong statement too - BV5, so pure (not BV9, which is less refined in my eyes) Got the impression that when confronted with CRT constraints the designers came with very original solutions

Very interesting, Colin, thank you for your feedback. I am just wondering about the following: 1. Are you really sure we can use NiMH batteries? The 7000 charger was designed for NiCd batteries. So will it safely charge NiMH? Will it know when to switch off? Is there any fire/explosion/damage danger? 2. According to this thread, some use 700mAh and

Dear all, I am very interested in hearing your experience with alternative battery packs. How did yours work? Which one would you recommend? Cheers, js

  • Re: Upgrade Beolab 8000 setup

Thank you Peter for this clear and informative answer. So I will definitely request my dealer to demo BL2 at home and I will let you know my impression. Kind regards, js

  • Re: Upgrade Beolab 8000 setup

Thank you all for having posted your opinion here. I had no time yet to have my dealer to demo BL2 and BL3 at home, too much work (I will let you know my impression as soon as I can). In the meantime, I thought about another option. In a Link room of my second house, I have an old pair of Beovox CX100 with a Beovox Cona. I just wonder whether I could

Hi all, I also have to replace the batteries of my BL 7000. My dealer expects the cost to amount to more than EUR 100. Thus I am very interested in reading your experience with alternative battery packs. Cheers, js
