Beogen Have done the same myself -- It arrives on Thursday!

Thanks for coming back on this with your last two messages. I don't want a system whereby I have to change the leads every time I watch a DVD (or alternatively play music). Because the two fronts are connected to the Dolby and that recognises that music is being played (i.e. the third --tv speaker) cuts out automatically I thought that connecting

This is the point that I was trying to get at with my last message on the Beolab2 thread and my concern all along. When I am using music does the "system" (and lets face it thats what we buy even if we assemble it in stages) prevent over-bassing the process by running the beolab 2 as well as the bass on the 8000. I was hoping that the presence

Now I am totally confused! As David quite rightly proposed I do love the timbre of my BL8000's and want to enhance them and not detract from them. Because of my room set up everything goes through the Dolby unit of the 6-26. Is the bass on the speakers going to cut out in favour of the BL2 or is the BL2 going to add to the bass. I must stress that

Ummmmhhh! Yes and no! You see that form of the argument values the design at zero I have made this point about audiophiles on another thread). Design has a high value to some, especially if its going into a living room. Almost any other product that went into such a space would have design as an important factor why shouldn't the entertainment systems

Interesting! We are nearly there with an understanding of this but not quite. There is an issue over boominess (terrible word really but appropriate) and am I right in thinking that there may be a difference between set ups through a music system only and through the Dolby unit in the TV. I will be doing the latter so it reads like I have to take the

All votes in favour then! Do I pick up a small addendum in that you may have to "tune" the BL2 down for music and up for movies? I am not one of these bass and treble merchants and like to have a nice mid-range. The BL8000 do the treble --midrange fine with nice clarity but they are a little light on the bass. Thanks to all for the info. Final

This is a real dumbo of a question but if you don't ask you don't learn. I am considering my next move in terms of B&O purchase and am considering a sub-woofer. Can I ask if this is only used during Dolby transmission or do I get the benefit of it on my audio (pair of 8000 going through the Dolby unit on the 6-26). I can probably justify

Many thanks, I think I will wait until it arrives and then I will be in a position to see what is what. It doesn't help that because I am in a wheelchair and the 6-26 is on a wall bracket I cannot see the DD(or DTS) inputs. The F1000 unit arrives at the same time as the DVD so I will be able to see what its all about and then follow your instructions

A little more less techie please! This inquiry interests me as I have a DVD1 coming from Lee. This will be connected to a BV6-26 with a dolby digital board. My present (cheapie) DVD was connected by the B&O installers of my TV from the output named co-axial on the DVD to the co-ax CVBS socket on the 6-26. What do I do to connect the DVD1 for Dolby
