  • Re: Lifestyle AV - Fantastic Service

Can I say that I have been very critical of B&O recently to the point where I don't want to deal with them anymore. The shining star in the B&O framework is Lifestyle-av though and as I have said before if dealers had half the custimer service that Lee (and Matt) have then they wouldn't be in the dire state that they are in. Many thanks

  • Re: BV9+Playstation3+Beo5 = works perfect

The problem with waiting for the HD TV before you get the HD player is that you have to buy both at the same time. Getting one at a time enables you to get what you want which may be constrained with a double purchase. Does the one remote allow the same sort of access as the stb? In other words will it allow link room access? If I wanted the PS 3 and

Because I am not a gamer I have had no interest in the PS3. However now I am looking for a blu-ray player that has flexible outputs so that I can continue to use scart connection to my non-HD BV6-26. This would enable me to upgrade my DVD1 without forcing me to change the TV now. This is even better if you can control the darned thing with a beo4. Because

  • Re: Connecting a B&W PV1 subwoofer to a PowerLink socket

js, I have been looking at this very point and whilst I don't know the answer I have a suggestion which Peter or Alex could shoot down. If you don't want to have the hassle of soldering etc then I would suggest a 5pin to 4 Phono leads (as suggested by Alex) and a two female to one male phono connector available from Maplin. If I am right this

  • Re: BV6-26 & HD

I have dealt with them for eight years or so and have been content with their service until recently. I was even content when I bought this lcd. The point you make is a very good one but concerning when you spend your money on high value products. If the rate of technological change is so fast that a tv purchased in May 2005 is technologically obsolete

  • Re: De-beofication

Thanks Alex, Peter and Coolskin for some useful contributions. Alex I think you may be right and change maybe coming but its all based on hope rather than evidence. Launching "up to date" LCD's with no digital tuner and no HD seems very very shortsighted. And having had that pointed out to them they then go and launch a new product (is

Yes I can truly understand the spirit of your e-mail. I am sure that my dealer would have a different view and am open minded enough to freely acknowledge that. However I came away (mistaken--misunderstood or otherwise) really believing that I had an HD capability through the limited means of a DVI. This belief was so burnt within me that I have been

  • De-beofication

To all, Following my previous e-mails on BV6-26 and HD I have had taken time to reflect and yet decided that B&O is no longer for me. It is my opinion that they are exploiting the consumer surplus to such a degree that it goes beyond the point whereby it is made up for by the design. I have been a committed B&O'er and my signature gives

  • Re: BV6-26 & HD

Zwets has sent me a copy of a document which makes the situation clearer. According to what I see you cannot guarantee having an HD ready 6-26 until January 2006. There are a few months before that when you have an increasing chance of getting one as stock changes over. As I have said before I feel very aggrieved at this because I did ask and let me

I am not sure that anyone should say that you do not need an HD picture on a 26". Beobirds comments coincide with my experience here. If its <1.5 metres then it may be worth having and in consequence should be provided. My dealer had a BV6-26 next to a 7-32?(could have been a 40) and dared me to guess which was operating on HD and which on SD
