• How to make use of STB-C/PUC together with 3rd party units.

A general question if there are any earlier posted articles, blogs, postings that gives a general guideline on how to use either Beo4 or Beo5 - the closest I found was this posting . In my case I'm particular looking for info regarding Samsung BD-C6500 and WD HD Live.

To be mentioned is that both the WD HD Live box and the Samsung BD C9500 bluray player can be controlled by the BV10 via PUC cables. Kind of nice so no need to have the extra remotes controlles filling up the living room table :-)

  • What are your Top 3 BluRay movies?

If you only where allowed to pick (from existing collection) or buy 3 bluray discs; what would the choice then be from bluray adaption quality stand point? For example the first release of Fifth Element was a pure DVD adaption straight over to BD..... there is now a re-mastered version available. What would Your choice be?
PS3.... Most Money value..;-)
In one way I could agree with you, but since I'm not a gamer nor any other in the family and simplicity is the primary goal here; PS3 is not on my shortlist. Also, how good is the PS3 on upscaling DVD's?
At least my BD-C7500 can connect to network shares. It can play music and show pics but as I´m using wireless it´s not possible to share movies (too slow connection)
To connect to network share; do you need to "publish" the shared folder from PC using the SAMSUNG PC Share Manager or are you

Are the Samsung BD players able to connect to network shares such as from Windows system and NAS (SAMBA shares)? See in the manual for the BD-C6500 / BD-C6900 that one have to install software on a Windows PC to be able to connect to that specific PC shares? So another question then; does anyone have suggestion on BD players that can play media from

The BV10 do not offers any connectivity to the internet; problem is that the technology is changing so fast so I would actually avoid to get this kind of features built into the tv-set. I would rather go for an additional external box do solve what ever that you want to do. Mac Mini if you want to jump around the internet; WD HD Live if you want to

Well, can recommend WD HD Live ; offers 1080p and as well supported by B&O.

  • BluRay player - What are You using at home?

Thinking about getting a BluRay unit for the BV10 and been looking around; while I currently looking at the Samsung BD-C6900 (assuming that it will be able to control via PUC); but what are you using and what are the recommendations?

  • Re: BeoVision 10 wall placement

What is even better is that the B&O stores has a poster with both BV10-40 & 46 in natural size for testing; kind of nice when trying to figure out where to place and on what height.
