  • Re: Beo4 stand

About a year ago I bought a stand for the Beo4 from Lin Tronic. I think it is beautiful and a small work of art even when the Beo4 is not in it! Looking at the Lin Tronic site now however I see no mention of it so can only assume it had been discontinued. I'm sorry in one way that is doesn't appear to have been a sales success, but on the other

And if she'd said 'NO' each time to the items, what then?

Beolab1: Yes I did a crazy thing. Bought a beautiful mint condition Beosystem 4500. Opened all three components and cleaned them, greased the Beocord and just lined them up together with a pair of Beolab 4000's. It works perfectly and there are absolutely no scratches on any of the surfaces. Now the main problem: my girlfriend thinks that we don't

  • Re: Beosystem 4500 - value?

I've had my 4500 system since they went on sale all those years ago. It's has been and still is, in daily use. I have mine in a horizontal line on a smoked glass shelf which is about 18" from the floor. Because the supports cannot be seen and all wires to and from it are hidden it looks like it is floating. Even after all these years it

I knew that, just thought it was little obvious to be the correct answer!

Does it represent someone who believes a map of the world is needed to travel from Durham to Edinburgh?

  • Re: Internet Radio through my beosound 4

Alex: Chris is correct, but they made this legal in the UK a while ago. I remember when I got my iTrip along with my iPod Mini (when they first came out). I had to have it imported from the US as they were illegal in the UK at the time! As far as FM transmitters go - I really wouldn't. The solution offers no control in rooms outside of the one the

Chris: Kokomo, Maybe in some countries around the globe, using a FM transmitter for personal use would be legal. But in most European countries, if not all this is highly illegal. Even so with low transmitting power. "highly illegal". What, like murder, rape, robbery?

  • Re: Amazed by sound repoduction of Beogram CD 7000

I think many people would be similarly amazed by the sound from a quality CD player, a well recorded disc and listening through quality headphones. Especially if compressed MP3 tracks are the normal listening experience! Quality headphones can be truly mind blowing in revealing sounds and instruments unheard on even previously regularly listened-to

  • Re: Internet Radio through my beosound 4

Simple and very cost effective solution:- Purchase FM transmitter which transmits on the 88 - 108 FM band (€20). Connect to PC. Tune B&O radio tuner (and other radios around the house) to appropriate transmitting frequency. Result - Internet radio around the house and outside if required!
