moxxey: but have you tried installing those HD inputs on the BV7-40 MKIII? It's really dark in the all-black vertical socket area. Thats why I bought a torch that straps to your head, ahhh good old TkMaxx moxxey: I don't think the PS3 sends requires HDCP though? The PS3 absolutley needs HDCP for BluRay, otherwise it will downscale the picture

Sounds to me like some sort of HDCP issue, but then again you said SkyHD is working. I dont suppose you have disconnected the SkyHD - just incase the BV7 can only handle 1 HDMI/HDCP connection (clutching at straws I know...). I would really like you to get this sorted (and to keep us informed), because at the moment the PS3 seems the best/cheapest way

moxxey: My problem doesn't affect games, it's only the playback of DVDs. I know, but I was hoping to use it to play BluRay's to, unless it ONLY affects DVD playback.

Thanks for the heads up... I was hoping to get a PS3 in the coming weeks/month (in time for GTA and MetalGear), so what exactly was/is the problem and what does SW 4.0a fix, and what is this PIM module thingy.

One of the pictures in the link above, is a room full of BeoLab 8000's, with a BeoSound 9000 in the middle, beautiful picture, well I think so anyway . May become my next windows desktop...

My BV7 and BL7-2 are both black, and yours definitely don't look black to me, so I would guess a dark grey, as for why it seems a different shade, sorry cant help with that.

tom: http://bang-olufsen.att11.com/star/Calendar.aspx This definitely is not a Beo5. It's 32" or 40". 40", from what I can see on star 13, looks like the stand has a double pole, and since the 32" only has a single pole... Well when I win it, I'll post pictures

What I have done in the past (if you are using windows)... 1. Insert blank CD/DVD 2. Using Windows Explorer, drag the files to the CD. 3. Windows will pop up with a burning wizzard, step through it. 4. Eject and put in BV7 5. The BV7 will play the first file on the CD. I think (can't remember) if you press the 'Yellow' button the BV7 will

Yup, supposed to be like this, altho it looks more white to me. Mine looks kinda strange with the red display of the BeoSound9000 beside it.

Cool, must be very near to Bloomingdales Home then, must remember that for the future.
