From the bottom of the DVD, to the stand base is about 23cm, when the DVD is opened this drops to about 21.5cm. The height of the BL3 is 23cm (top of the acoustic lens bit), and about 20cm if ignoring the acoustic lens. From the front of the BV7 screen to the edge of the stand base is about 13cm, and the BL3 is 17cm deep. So it may be a bit tight fit

Here is a photo of my BV7-40 on the motorized tablestand, I decided to go for this because my ceiling comes down quite low. I already had the BL8000s, but I'm thinking of getting the BL9s or BL3s instead so the height difference would not be as noticeable...

Yes HDMI can do 5.1, uncompressed audio etc, but as far as I am aware there is a limitation of the Sky+HD box, as it can't do 5.1 over the HDMI. As for the lip sync problems alot of people seem to be having them, the peps on the Digital Spy SkyHD forums have numerous discussions about it.

If the PS3 is off, press and hold the power on button for about 10secs, the PS3 will beep, and the video/audio settings will be reset, you can then step through the PS3 init procedure again. Sometimes on mine I loose the audio, but if I press DTV on the Beo4, wait, then press VMEM (for my PS3) then then sound comes back, weird...

moxxey: JoC: Good news that the playback of BluRays are a tad better, bad news that the 'white flash' is STILL happening. It was eliminated in Blu-ray playback in sw 4.01. The latest sw 4.24 seems to prevent the white flash when playing PS3 games (TBC though), but is definitely there when you use the PS3 menu. If it's only present on the

jk1002: I settled on the readynas duo. The ReadyNas Duo is very nice, and a good NAS, but a big brother to the Duo (the Pro) is about to be released in the next month or so, it has 6 bays instead of 2. If you could hold out for that, it maybe the NAS to go for altho it is likely to be dear(ish). But you could still start with 2 drives (like the Duo

moxxey: Back on the original topic. I've had my BV7-40 MKIII upgraded to sw 4.24a this afternoon. I'm actually slightly disappointed. The white flash hasn't completely disappeared - you still see it in 1080p mode, when viewing the Playstation 3 menu. Witnessed by the B&O engineer. Also, the panning is better, but not perfect. It's
