Mmm. I like the looks of the capacitors for the crossovers. How much difference does audiophile caps like these do compared to normal (ie the ones I bought from you before this kit was ready )?

I just bought a nice looking beolink 5000 to control my bc9500. However it has one fault, it does not work in two way mode. I've searched the forums and found that some other people have had similar problems. Specifically it has been suggested that leaky capacitors on the IR receiver board may be the culprits. I've also learned that the beolink

Isn't there a circuit (box) available from b&o that takes speakerlink down to line voltage?

I had a problem with my avant never getting to standby mode at all, no red light. After resoldering the large transformers on the "main circuit"(?) the set started up nicely, and has never complained since.

I'm shooting from the hip with this, but I remember to have read that a weak power supply will expand the picture when it is very bright. Martin (Die_bogener) is the expert here, but I would think it has to do with old capacitors that have dried up and gone bad. Probably the same thing that is causing your image to bend.

I have penta II's, and they are equipped with speakerlink connector. Should work with your beosystem. Don't hold me to it though. ;)

Hi, It is very easy to open the beocenter. Just unscrew all the screws in the back that have an arrow pointing at them, and three in the front. With these gone, you can carefully tilt the whole top section of the beocenter to the front. Just like the hood on old bmw's. ;) The circuit board (platine) that controls the cd player is located directly

Well, the ir-protocol that is used with the xbox remote control sends two different parts of information. First the address that tells xbox that it is supposed to read the signal, and the signal. For the xbox, this address is 5 in decimal form, which translates to 0101 in binary. Secondly, all IR signals are sent binary. If you can tell the beo5 to

I had to solder mine out and pry it open with a screwdriver. Very fiddly job. The plastic has become very brittle with age, but if you crack it, you could always just tape it back together or just buy a new relay. I believe they are available as a spare part.

I'm not sure if i can hear a hiss when i turn it on. Theres a "booong" sound and then just the normal crt sound. Very loud crt-sound, but it has been like that ever since I got it.
