  • Re: The ultimate track for B&O?

My favorite test track is Diana Krall - Devil May Care from the Live CD/DVD. It has piano, guitar, bass, percussion and very nice vocals When we got our Beolab 9's in december this song totally blew us away! Trentemøller - Take Me Into Your Skin is also great track for testing Hi-Fi, and it's from Denmark :-D

  • Re: BeoLab 4000 - BeoSound 1 comparison?

I don't know if the Beosound 1 is better, I just found it sounds warmer and more detailed. I can only say that for my taste the "new" Beolab 4000 sounds awful (worse than my BL4's). They may have better Bass, but my BL4's sound MUCH more natural. For my taste the BS1 sounds very nice! With the BL4000's bad sound you don't

Peter : The 4000 is in a completely different class. The BS1 is a very clever portable system. But it cannot compete with the 4000s which are the hidden gem in the B&O speaker range. They changed to ICE power in 3/07. Easy to tell the difference as the power switch on the front was removed. In the AB version, it presses in and out to switch the

  • Re: What should I buy?

I will connect them to the Pre Out of an old Braun Atelier R4. I'll connect my Macbook Pro, my PS3 and my TV.

  • Re: What should I buy?

I was at my local B&O dealer an hour ago and I have to say some things: 1. Beolab 4000 sound awful (cold, like tin box) 2. Beosound 1 sounds good, but the difference to my BL4's is minor 3. I will go for the Beolab 3! Amazing sound and looks, I'll have to earn some money, but they're worth it. I will probably be able to buy them in October

  • Re: What should I buy?

I'm a bit "in love" with the BS1's design and I think It should sound at least as good as my Beolab4. The system is supposed to be installed in my bedroom (17 sqm) so sound should be good. But the main thing I like about it is, that I can lift it up from the floorstand, take it with me to use it on the terrace (we have power sockets

Daniel: astrauch: I'm using Beolab 4 speakers at my PC Hope you don't have the BL 4 PC-version, which means there are no input for powerlink. No, I bought the normal ones, because I always wanted to have a complete system. For the used systems: I would like to buy one but I don't have the room for Pentas (I'm still at school) and also

Are the 4000's much better? I also thought about buying a pair of Beolab 3 and replacing my BL4's... but the price
