  • Re: Beocentre 9500 bargain??

For the record the 'parts only' Beocentre 9500 went for equivalent of just under 200 Euro. I wasn't tempted.

Thanks for the advice everyone - think I was getting (slowly) to the same opinion. Will keep an eye on it for parts (current bid is approx. 40 euro - 2 days left) - but being realistic there are so few advertised locally (this is first I've seen in the West for the 10 yrs I've been looking) the chance of getting a second will be pretty slim

  • Beocentre 9500 bargain??

Hi everyone, just searching for some advice. Have found Beocentre 9500 on ebay locally (Perth, Western Australia). Listed as 'for parts only' but contacted the seller and she suggests that the power supply is not working and door mechanism needs to be fixed other than that 'it should work fine'. Assuming this is correct - scanning the

  • Re: Beogram 2000 - belt replacement

Thanks very much for the advice Martin. I thought that might be the case but am always cautious about forcing the issue...particularly when it is not my own system. Always great to have such a good resource as Beoworld members who answer even the most simple questions (and now I can look like I know what I'm doing when I help him set it up!) Cheers

  • Beogram 2000 - belt replacement

Just after some advice from the experts ...I have just helped by boss's son buy his first turntable/stereo - a beomaster/cord/gram2000 with 2 beovox X35's. Beautiful condition with original receipts from 1984 - would have looked great in my lounge room actually - a very nice 21st present. While 'fishing' for the transport screws for

  • Re: Beocenter 7007 remote

Thanks for the advice...doesn't look like the broken part does all that much so I guess I'll start be replacing the belts. Cheers

  • Re: Beocenter 7007 remote

Unfortunately it may be more than belts. The mechanism engages (and immediately disengages) but I cant hear the motors running...not sure tho, there is some noise but can't tell if its a motor...after an initial poke around i have also found a broken part from near the heads...no idea what it does but if i can get acess i can probably glue it back

  • stylus

my fairly newly aquired beocenter 7007 has a mmc5 stylus which i understand is pretty much the budget stylus for this unit (I think it is the orig stylus)...also vinyl just doesn't sound nearly as good as on my other B&O (beogram 1203 through a beomaster 901...which has its own problems thanks to poor packing by the ebay seller I bought it off

The Beocenter 7007 manual states that it is 'adjusted' for the following tape types... Ferro IEC Standard eg BASF LH1, Chrome TDK-SA and Metal TDK-MA on other types treble reproduction may be slightly louder or softer...

Thanks Peter, might also have to upgrade my membership...tape deck is not working and looks like it may need some tinkering. I am hoping the service manual is available...? Ben
