That really is an interesting article. I'm always amazed by how far people will go to solve a single question, in the name of science! The question that came to me as I read it was: I wonder how diverse their panel of test subjects was? For example, the comparison of two groups of people in regards to "sound annoyance levels" was fascinating

That's really cute! Sadly, I can identify myself with some of those characters at times... I agree with you: the folks on BeoWorld's forum are generally quite civilized, helpful, and fun. It's a great forum to visit regularly.

Is that an actual advertisement by Bang & Olufsen headquarters? Or is it someone else? I don't know that language on the website... Tasteless ad; I'd be surprised if it were an official B&O!

Looks like you've gotten enough feedback, but what the heck, I thought I'd throw in my opinion as well. My husband and I stayed at a friend's home for a few weeks before we moved into our current apartment. The guest bedroom had a Bose Wave. Being used to Bang & Olufsen, I was not impressed. The tone sounds forced, shallow, and overly

Well, darn. Too bad that's the only way to do it. I don't have time (or a workbench! )to solder anymore these days; I was hoping there was something simpler. Guess I'll have to go for a pair of separate speakers instead. Thanks anyway!

Could you hook up a BeoLab 7-1 or 7-2 to a non-B&O audio source? I understand there's no line-in option, making powering on an issue. Is there a way to get around that? Thanks in advance, Aj

Christian: Nylon, for stockings etc.,was invented at the same time in London and in New York. So it might not be a conspiracy, but merely a coincidence. (Nylon = N.Y. LONdon) Wow, very interesting! Two people to shoot... (Not a fan of stockings!)

I just wonder why there are usually two (at least) similar but incompatible formats that emerge around the same time made by different people. Are people just discovering the same things around the same time? Or is there really a conspiracy? Here's one idea: When consumers or companies detect a need for a better/newer format that will be in wide

Hi all, I'd like to open a discussion theorizing about the future of technology. History, as we know, has a way of repeating itself, if we aren't careful. There is currently a format war going on between Blu-Ray and HD-DVD for high definition video, and there appears to be somewhat of a stalemate. Remember what happened a decade or so ago with

No offense, but you really have to be kidding!! This is just another tacky toy with flashing lights. It has no design appeal, no dignity, and there's no way it could sound good-- plastic encased, tiny speakers playing compressed files and running on batteries... Its only use would be to titillate tech-heads for a month or so, then it will be thrown
