beoperson: With newer B&O speaker design seems that long anodized aluminum tube-like speakers are being slowly phased out. While BeoLab 1, 8000, 6000, 3500 are still being sold, new replacement models such as BeoLab 5, BeoLab 9, BeoLab 3 are already new standard. BeoLab 3500 has been around for 10 years. I would not be surprized if B&O is designing

Wow, interesting question. If you're connecting it to a B&O video system, it seems that you'd want the eye to be as close to the screen as possible, since it is acting as the ambient light detector. Plus, it seems intuitive to point the remote control at the screen when you want to change channels, so the eye nearby the screen makes sense

If you install BeoVox 1 or any other ceiling-mounted speaker, I would suggest that you make sure to use a back-box! This will improve sound quality and keep your sound in the room where you want it instead of leaking to all the adjacent rooms through the walls. Good luck with your project.

Wow, that does seem like a rip-off! It's hard to tell with cables; sometimes they cost a lot more than you'd expect. (Maybe you can call around to other stores to see what they charge...) But the battery cover for a Beo4 in such miserable condition...! Good idea to return that. Call me sassy, but I'd return the cable too, and buy it from
