Hi Martin, I tried to respond to your suggestion, but I am not sure if my response was sent. If not, here it is. The "interesting" thing here is the cassette player worked fine when the unit was partially disassembled, however once reassembled the player has the problem I described. That said, the last time I took a crack at resolving the

I have been having an ongoing problem with my BeoSound 2000 for months in that the cassette player only works intermittently. I replaced the belt and the cassette player works perfectly when partially disassembled, however, when I put it all back together the cassette engages plays for a second, reversers and plays a second, and stops. This can be repeated

Hi Martin, I found the problem. I was looking for a loose connection and while moving the two circuit boards managed to misalign the five pin connection when putting them back together. I am guessing that one of the three connections was loose causing the VU meters not to function, but being unaware of the five pin connection between the two boards

Hi Martin, I have not had the time to properly check out my ailing Beocord 8004, but will do so tomorrow. The solder points I understand but I am not sure what PCB traces are. The deck was completely refurbished by Bill Rapp, so I have complete confidence that everything was well and was in perfect order when it left his hands. In transport the 8004

I sent my Beocord 8004 out for a repair/adjustment, but during the return shipment, the Beocord was apparently dropped. The Beocord now sounds wonderful and the tape position LED’s all function ….. however the audio level lights no longer function. Any ideas where to look for the problem that wasn’t there previously? Jeff

I absolutely cringed when I saw your enclosed photo of your 4000 tonearm! I have had a terrible time removing the cartridges from my various 4000 series turntables, often affecting the tonearm adjustments. I am so glad that I decided not to mess with “perfection” in regard to my Beogram 4000 and “try” the NOS MMC20CL cartridge

Does anyone know of a NOS or exceptionally fine Beogram 4000 dustcover that is available and might be for sale? I was gifted with a very decent “replacement” 4000 dustcover, the one with the adhesive tape logos and would VERY much like to find an original, with the metal logo strip in either NOS or exceptionally fine condition. Any ideas

Jaff, OMG you have TWO Beogram 4000’s!?! My BG 4000 is the jewel of my “collection” (obsession if you prefer) and I wouldn’t part with it for all the world! It performs basically like when it was new. When my 4000 arrived from UPS shipping, the dust cover was a disaster and a BeoWorld member generously provided me (refusing any

Hi Evan, Unless you live is a dust-free environment, as few of us do, you will want a lid. Jeff

Hi Peter, There are numerous Sennheisser headphones available, which ones do you recommend? I do not care for the earbuds and prefer the bulkier but more comfortable over the ear type. Jeff
