I was browsing the net today and this is what I found on Steve Mac Gugan's website, which I've pasted shamelessly below. Nice touching story about the making of Form 2's.. QUOTE: In the world of consumer electronics, products come and go as the wind blows. Some last six months on the market, others can last a few years, but in general it

Hi, Penta III are active speakers, so you don't need any extra amplifier. You may have been offered BeoVox Penta, that were the passive version of the BeoLabs. If you have the BeoLabs, you can basically plug your Ipod into the RCA/phono sockets of each Penta, and you won't believe your ears.. If you have the BeoVox version, then indeed you'll

When I discovered B&O in the late 80's, the company was famous for having prices that were not moving during the whole commercial life of a product.. Now it's the other way round An guess what: I can't remember when was the last time I bought something new from B&O!
-
That's very good news for B&O, especially since 75% of the buyers are new customers. Now let's hope they quickly improve the BeoPlayer app, and I also heard there was an Airplay version coming out soon.. Still, I can't help wondering how much wealthier B&O would have been today if they had followed the trend and released an Ipod

No, you should have an input called TP2 and another one called A/V.AUX . The latter usually gets activated by any video source selected on the remote control.
-
Hi, Indeed, the Beo4 will activate the A.TAPE source via A.MEM or A.TAPE, depending on the version you have. To turn on A.TAPE2, select either A.TAPE2 or NMUSIC on your Beo4 (they are the same codes). And A.AUX on BM5500 can be activated by pressing TV or any other video source....or A.AUX if you want to be picky

On the same note, I also use my BeoCenter 2 with Pentas, and quickly found out that the same music sounded much better through the Mac Mini, sending the signal to a DAC Magic & going through the AUX in on BC2, rather than the direct feed from the CD. This goes against the "hi-fi logic" that says: the shorter the route, the better the sound

Another delay in product launches? Why doesn't that surprise me..? Maybe they'll launch something special for Valentine's Day instead of Christmas

Everything works fine on my Iphone 4 with IOS 5, I can access all radio stations, which is great! The rest is more or less like before, the only thing I can't access is my Itunes library on the MacMini, although both Remote & LinkRemote apps see the whole library, the BeoPlayer app sees nothing. I ticked all the "share library" boxes

I'm digging out this thread to say that after one year with my PentaVox speakers, I decided to follow other members' advice & replaced all capacitors on midrange & bass-treble filters, with : Mundorf electrolytics 68 uF/100 VDC (none was available in 400 V to match the original dimensions) Audyn Cap MKP polyprop. 5,6 uF/400V Jantzen
