• Re: How hard is Bang & Olufsen hit ?

Problem with B&O was never about the price like I said way before the product launch of Beosound 5. It's that they are not injecting enough value into their products. B&O should become a real high end company if it is going to survive. If high end hifi companies Meridian, B&W and Goldmund can still thrive in this economy I don't

  • Re: Digital Analog Converter/Beoport and Digital Files

Hi David, You should definitely connect the mac mini to the DAC using a toslink optical cable and not the USB. Most of the DACs out there do not have the special sync function to connect with the computer via USB in a low jitter way. Because the normal USB connection is littered with tons of timing errors/ jitter, it is advised to connect via toslink

  • Has anyone read these new glowing reviews of the Beolabs?

Was just doing my regular search on new active loudspeakers and I have stumbled upon newly published reviews on the Beolab 8000s & 6000s. As much as I would like to congratulate B&O on the good responses it got from the reviewer, the reviews seem kinda strange to me; they are overly positive and got the prices wrong. $3000 on a pair of Beolab8000s

  • Re: Steinway & Lyngdorf presents the ultimate

Why are you being so harsh? How cheap can it be when it is wood veneer laminated on top of solid blocks of aluminium? Besides the system do employ state of the art full band digital equalization and the loudspeakers are dipoles which: nothing of which screams cheap or cutting corners.

I dunno why... but the design is very Japanese Zen to my eyes. It's also very macho in a way. But it's okay..... I will probably get it if I have the money though.

  • Re: Infos an new products for 2009/10 in the german forum

wow. An Ipod dock. If it is one of those solutions with speakers then B&O is entering into a very competitive arena. They better come up with something that is value for money cos many what there look superb and sound great at the same time. If B&O is gonna price way above its competitors then it must be able to at least compete with the Geneva

  • Re: Non-B&O DVD Player Recommendations?

What about a Harman Kardon DMC1000? A state of the art HDD music/media player coupled with a state of the art DVD upscaling player capabilities? And expandable storage via USB? Not sure whether this will be compatible with the B&O DVD controller though. Priced around 1800 pounds. I would have totally gotten this if not for the limited storage and

  • Re: Any new BeoLab in the near future?

Ever thought maybe the phantom centre channel will need to arrive to the listener first before the left and right to create a more realistic centre channel reproduction?

  • Re: A vision in gold?
I'm pretty sure Baroque is up to the early 18th century actually. Get your facts right.
Baroque when it was last back in style. Hello... lol... Baroque is out now. Notice how how the leading designers have a new found obsession with modern edgy furniture?

Over the last few years there has been what they call 'modern baroque' trend, modernist interiors with simple, streamline detailing accented with bold lavish details such as crystal chandeliers, gilt mirrors, pattern wallcoverings, tufted furniture.
