  • Re: Anyone for Coffee?

Just to say that I have had two cups of coffee in my life! Revolting stuff. Although it smells devine. Tea all the way with me.

  • Beocenter 3600

I have just taken delivery of one of these unusual beasts. It was a suprise purchase on ebay as I didnt think I would win it for just over a fiver! Cosmetically its OK and I have sorted out a couple of little issues with it. One thing thats wrong is the record deck doesnt work. Im pretty sure the motor will need lubricating which seems common on this

  • Re: Beocord 1500 Deluxe

Unfortunately it is worth very little. I have given away a couple of reel to reel players. Stick it on Ebay but dont be suprised if it only gets up to £5-10. Also the postage costs will I expect be more than it makes. The problem with these is although they are wonderful machines, nobody uses them now.

  • Re: Beocenter 9000 volume adjustment problem

I reckon you will be fine when the glass panel is reattched. Have you tried touching the rubber prong under the glass to see if this then works the volume? Also the no.9 on the radio will be that the preset on 9 has been deleted, nothing else. If you add a preset onto 9 I expect it will light up again. Hope this helps.

  • Brochures 70's, 80's for sale.

I have a few brochures which are surplus to requirements and thought I would offer them on here. There are 6 range brochures dating from 1978 through to the early 90's and a bundle of other random paperwork. They are all in good condition and have some lovely pictures. The products range from the BM4400, the Beolab 8000 system to the 5000 stack

  • Radiograms on the up.

Good to see these making decent money. Not just because I have one but because they are beautiful looking things. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Bang-and-Olufsen-900-RG-Compact-Retro-Design-Radiogram-/270778560842?pt=UK_Consumer_VintageAudio_RL&hash=item3f0ba8f14a

  • Could this be stolen....I reckon they are!

Who would sell a pair of BL4000 like this? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/bang-and-olufsen-beolab-4000-speakers-/330585263215?pt=UK_AudioVideoElectronics_HomeAudioHiFi_HiFiSpeakers&hash=item4cf86acc6f No covers, no leads and I just cant be bothered to sort it out, 0 feedback too. Don't think I will be bidding on these.

  • Re: Wierd variations and oddities.

I thought the early versions all had the grey coloured facia. Could this be a "bitsa" unit made up from different units. An early, maybe radiogram chassis and a later cabinet and dial.

  • Re: B&O going 3D - good or bad idea ?

I sill use an Avant and a BV3. They have a better picture than any SD on a flat panel and HD hasnt really amazed me. Yes its a bit better but you need a huge screen to make it worthwhile. I dont want a screen of say 50 inches in my front room. 3d is just another fad. Plus modern tv's are just a rectangle, nothing more. I love the Avants styling
