• Re: 9 to 5

Very nice analogy Lee, I went from 9's to 5's and never looked back, the difference to me is mind blowing. I then put my 9's as rears and after about 6 months I thought what would 5's sound like as rears too. Well I got an offer for a pair of (one year old, not even broken in yet) second hand 5's, offer was to good to refuse. Can
I don't think that it is because we are all 'Apple worshippers' it is simply because iTunes is the World's largest and most popular music store and will continue to be so. It is THE way that music is bought these days and used. It has been like this for over 10 years now, it's not an over night

  • Re: Wife doesn't like BeoLab 9s

The base ring can be removed and is rather heavy. The rest of the unit is a solid unit not really designed to be taken apart for transport.

Keep an eye out for second hand BeoLab 5's. Look impressive! Sound impressive! Will be worked in and cheaper than new BL5's and slightly more expensive than new BL9's.

  • Re: Any questions for the new CEO ?

1.) Is there a future for B&O with integrated media Apps in their T.V systems? 2.) 3D, does he see it as fad or future? 3.) David Lewis design, Is it a case of: "If it aint broke don't fix it" or "a bit long in the tooth"?

  • Re: Beolab 5 disappointed
I suspect we're dealing with a case of the audiomaster "not having been told" what it's connected to, or otherwise having been set up wrong.
I feel the same. Many factors in dealing with BL5's. As they are a truly non colored and transparent speaker just like a studio monitor is. BL5's

I highly recommend trying them at various dealers before parting with that amount of money. The dealer should be doing everything he/she can to convince you that the BL5's are worth every penny. Product knowledge is a must in the A/V field. I've had my BL5's for 4 years now and they amaze me everytime I sit in front of them.

  • Re: New Products

Yes, I understand the fundamental difference but it's much the same thing. An entire car stereo is more than just a part. McLaren's entire engine is made by Riccardo, that's more than just a part. Sure it's one part of the car and not the entire unit, but we're not talking wire loom here. Designed by McLaren and manufactured to their
Ferrari doesn't need to worry about outsourcing manufacturing because there's always a demand for their product regardless of price. Furthermore, buyers are always prepared to make a significant investment in an automobile. Same applies to watches and jewelry. Consumer electronics is a completely different animal
