Just a note from the side on the 9500. I have one and I love it! It's gorgeous, but the CD-player has some issues when playing CD:s with more than 50 tracks (for some reason unknown to me many American audiobooks split their tracks into smaller pieces) . Playing normal CD:s works just fine. The tape has some issues with longer tapes. Also look out

Thanks for the advice! I am kind of leaning myself towards the BV5, just need to find a good speciment first! The speakers is an issue as you say with the 4 and since my Avant has them, I don't have any "left over" that I can just throw in.

Hi Burantek, Well, I guess the BS would depend on whatever comes with the BV! [:-)] As this would be a secondary set, I am not really looking to pay huge sums, so a BS2 would be quite sufficient. Peter makes a good point, and I am also thinking about the fact the money which will give you a BV 4 or 5, would otherwise buy a 3D Panasonic...it's a

Hi, I am thinking about buying a used 4-42, to exchange my current second-room tv - an Avant 32 RF VHS. Now, I know the price for both these units have dropped heavily lately, so either way it's not a financially based change but rather one of space and technical upgrade. I am trying to find some reviews about the 4-series but fail to find so much

Interesting. They (the experts) both make interesting points; on the one hand, B&) should continue focusing on being expensive and high quality - on the other hand I think they would benefit from marketing some diffusion line products in stores like Elgiganten, Fona, etc. (similar to American Radio Shack or British Maplin), to increase brand awareness

In the popular Swedish series Solsidan , one of the neighbours to the main characters have a Beovision 1 in their kitchen! :-) Here

Well, I have the Beosound 1 and although I would miss it not being sold more, I can't say I blame B & O for discontinuing them. The new generations, i.e. the kids borne late 80's and 90's don't really use CDs; in fact I know young people who hardly KNOW that you can buy CDs! They just download it. The grills is a good idea though

I don't live in England, but I do wish I did. It seems that alot of the good shops and repair people live there. One thing I am happy about though, is this site! It's full of helpful advice like this! Thanks Dave! I hope the people with the AV9000 were too!

It does that - it blinks once. But that's the thing - everything else works fine to - I was considering there to be a glitch somewhere but then I am guessing other attached machinery should make difficulties as well. Will try to disconnect/reconnect and see if that helps. Thanks guys - all your help is MUCH appreciated!
