I should be seeing my local loewe dealer tomorrow. They previously had a B&O dealership and have experience re this. I'll ask him to drop me a note on how this can be done. Since I'm still stuck with the BV 7/32 and 6/26 until I can persuade my wife otherwise I haven't gone down this route yet ! As you say masterlink will be off the

We have both the 7-32 and 6-26. Both good TV's but picture quality and connectivity have moved on the intervening period. I have recently been trying to get HD picture and audio onto the BV 7 to enjoy blu-ray disks. In typical B&O fashion connections have been the problem. A top end Pioneer plasma will set you back £2-3k and will provide

Quick question on HD Audio. One of the perceived benefits of Blu-ray discs is the availability of HD audio formats. The method by which these are available can vary. In some cases decoding is performed at player level. In other cases at receiver/ processor level. At present neither BS3 nor the surround sound processor in my own BV 7/32 can perform such

Is there any talk of the BS3 being upgraded for HDMI 1.3 and ability to decode the High Definition sound formats ?

See the attached article. Clearly the more expensive brands are beginning to find things a bit tough. Again this goes to show that the quick pace of technology changes can make it difficult for smaller AV companies to compete. What hope B&O ? On a different note I was told yesterday that BS5 has been cancelled. Is this correct ? http://www.reuters

Check the Beo5 forum I had some previous correspondence on this which might help. Broadly in my case since the end of December my local dealer has not been able to update/ personalise my Beo5. I was told in early January to phone back in February and hopefully B&O will have sorted the software by then. At present I have paid money for a remote which

Have used bluray on BV 7-32 and no issues. I haven't been blown away by picture quality but I think this is more a function of the screen size (or lack thereof). Re jerky movement I haven't noticed this. I have however seen comment in the press re some of the newer LCD panels and the fact that they remove this. I think therefore this is possibly

The following is taken from http://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?p=493014#post493014 " Bang & Olufsen drops HD DVD plans after Warner decision Danish tech company Bang & Olufsen had a small press reception yesterday evening at CES. Seems logical to me. I noted that since the beo 5 had been programmed initially on the dealer's computer why was their an issue now with the update ? In theory it is meant to be an issue with the updated version of the software on their computer ! Hopefully it gets resolved in the near future.

Is there an issue with the Beo 5 software at present. I bought one in November which my dealer configured. Took it back about 2 weeks ago to have certain issues sorted. They have updated the macros etc. on the software but it now seems unable to recognise the Beo 5 when linked via USB to their computer. They claim that this is a general problem and
