Looks great. £695,maybe £750 as an absolute ceiling...with AIRPLAY and I'd buy one.

Referrals will [should] drive sales of BS8. You decide to buy one. It looks fab. Well built. Sounds better than the Zep. Has an easy to use tactile remote. Great pride of ownership. A real talking point for visiting friends who will no doubt ask how much it cost. Another sale made, without ever having been in a B&O showroom. Repeat to fade. But the

I can certainly see the logic behind your filling a [vacant] price point reasoning.. But you have to apply the critical reasoning of potential buyers peering through a B&O store window. It's an iPod Dock and will be compared to the excellent alternatives south of £400 that those not in the fold are much more likely to buy [despite wanting

£695 I will buy one [assuming it hits the spot sonically] Possibly two. I would recommend it to friends and clients. Not a chance at £950.

£950 !!? That is at the wrong end of the £750-£1000 spectrum. Will need to be sub £800 [ideally sub £700] to shift units and tap into the multiple purchase/present/intro to B&0 market. At £950 far fewer people will consider it. No Airplay and too expensive = crippled sales from the outset methinks. Reduce your

I would consider one of these as soon as they are available,as I have had two B&W Zeppelins suffer catastrophic power supply failures around the 11 month mark [a known issue,it seems] However,if B&O want these to fly off the shelf impulse buy stylee then they might want to consider meeting several important criteria: Priced closer to £600

Thanks for the thought Chris, but it would still be way too big and bulky.I would be on two wheels [human powered] then on foot with lots of heavy awkward bags and so on.I could just slip the Serenata in my pocket and it would double up as a backup phone should I ever need it. When I played with the BS3 in the past, the shop staff could never get the

Thanks for the info Robert.I must gen up on the spec in the archives.Shame about the shortish battery life, although it could be docked depending on power point access. Still looking for one at a good price... I was going to get a B&W Zep Mini but even that is too bulky to carry over the shoulder along with my other kit and would get damaged too

I need an uber compact nearfield sound source for use during corporate on site massage in a quiet environment. Never having listened to one I wondered if the Serenata might be just the ticket. Not interested in it as a phone, purely for playing relaxing music whilst the client is being treated on a chair or couch. Can any owners give a ballpark estimate

Dave is correct - the 9s seem to have a recessed mid.Not helped by the psychoacoustic effects of the top end. I found them unlistenable so they went back to the dealer. They failed to bloom even after 150 hrs use. Many speakers blossom after 100 hrs or so of running in. Can you swap them for another set? Perhaps we both received a duff pair...
