I do think the UK price should be lower,esp if it is effectively available cheaper in other countries! Most initial orders will be from the converted.Success of the product will be down to drawing in potential new B&O customers over the longer term. Hope they do well with this though.A more compact version,Airplay compatible, at the right price

Are you absolutely sure that the U.S. price doesn't include taxes? No indication when adding it to the cart that there are additional taxes to be paid... Trying to figure out if there is price parity compared to the U.K. @ £895.

Airtunes on the ATV1 is as you say.But it is not Airplay,which you said it has. Airplay functionality will let you stream from a handheld device.You cannot do this with ATV1 as it has Airtunes and not Airplay.Big difference. You can,however,use your device as a remote via the Remote App. Airtunes has developed into Airplay.They are different.
