The "plug" seems to be about 9cm diameter, whilst the channel seems to be about 20cm long. Mark

Ah! The posh end of town! Sadly, I can't get to the TV until Wednesday, so I'll try to measure it then. It's not a whole circle, but has a slot cut into it. Mark

The motor stand for my MX4002 is missing a couple of pieces - the "plug" which goes in the bottom of the main upright support, and the cover for the wiring channel. The helpful guys at B&O in Bournemouth have tried to help me find a "plug", but without success. Can anyone here suggest where I might obtain either part? I need

I opened up the VCR, cleaned the muck out,... and it magically started working again. Fixed by a vacuum cleaner! I think I'll clean off the grease which is visible and replace it with fresh grease, before puting the box back into the TV. Any idea how I can tell whether it's a 6000 or an 8000? Mark

Following the demise of my Avant curved VCR from the usual tube failure, I've purchased an Avant RF VCR to replace it. Whilst the RF has a good picture and works well with a DVD1, the Video Tape Recorder (VTR) chews tapes. Can I simply transplant the good VTR from my curved Avant into the RF version? I suspect that I may need to move some EPROMs
