Can't comment on the 7-1 but have the 7-2 in a setup similar to tom's only addition is the beolab 2 as well. To my mind the speakers complement each other really well. Go ahead and swop the BL3s with the 8000s. I'm pretty sure you'll like it a lot

Thanks Alex, I was expecting this - they are quite power hungry... but then they do sound pretty good with the right equipment. I'll have a look at your suggestions.

Noticed this post and Peter's reference to the MCL2P earlier and wondered if this could work for using a Beosound 9000 with a pair of B&W 804's I have? I'm currently using the 9000 with a set of Beolab 6000's, but I'd like to use those for the rear channel on my BV7. I have an old MCL2P - can I use this with the 9000? Will it
