There seems to be the understanding here that you need your Wifi network in order to stream music to the BeoLit 12. That is only the case if you want to stream your iTunes music from your PC/Mac to the BeoLit. You can however wirelessly stream directly from your iPhone/iPad to the Beolit without using your home wifi..

You'll need wifi at home in order to stream from your Pc to the Beolit. But you can stream directly from your iPhone/iPad to the Beolit too.

So it seems that B&O has lincensed AirPlay... My "dreamspeaker" would be a BeoLab 3500 with Airplay... If only...

Well.. the BL2000 was never intended as a directly connected speaker. It's a pure ML speaker. At this moment it's not possible to implement the Encore in an ML setup... also the BL2000 was terminated some years ago and the firmware was not updated. :-/ I'm faced with the same problem... Een BL5 heeft geen extra subwoofer nodig. Als je kijkt naar de specs dan zal je merken dat de BL5 de BL11 en BL2 wegblaast qua performantie. Niet enkel qua specs maar ook qua geluid!

Don't know the system... but if it's connected to some sort of domotica system... Why not? I've seen crazier things being done with a (B&O) remote
