  • Re: BeoVision 7-40 MkIV, First impression

BeoCare responed to my mail and said that it shuld be 1920x1080p 100Hz when you watching a SD 50Hz source. And 1920x1080p 96Hz when you watching a 24p source. A new firmvare will fix this interpolation issue! So now we don´t have 100Hz updating freqvens on the BV7 MkIV.

moxxey, you have the Film Mode in the original Service Menu and then the Film Judder Cancel in the Costumer Service menu. I have set them to off both, but se the most diffrence turning the FILM MODE off in the Service menu. I will look in to it.

mooxey, can you look in to the Costumer Service Menu under Signal information when you watch TV! Because ours dosen´t interpolate at all! It says Output signal: 50Hz!! It should be 100Hz... I have asked B&O about this.. BV7 MKIV = Big flop!

B & O has made it easy for themselves this time! They have simply Flashed in a PUC control for the inbuilt blu-ray player because you have to press SHIFT (YELLOW ARROW) first and then right/left button to rewind or change Chapter! Exact the sam procedure as if you connect a external Samsung BDP-2500 and use PUC control ! B&O think they are smart

It seems only Interpolate at 50Hz signals, otherwise, it is 48Hz in the coustmer service menu just like MKIII when we run the Bu-Ray 24Hz ... Veiwing standard TV / DVD = A step up from the MKIII in movements, but the same bad contrast ... It is a Samsung BD2500 internal blu-ray with BD Live 2.0, and i can´t see any diffrence btw the Sony s350

I mounted up the new Bv7 in the shop today and see no direct difference to the MKIII when we pulled a Planet Earth Blu-Ray 24Hz scene on both!? A little brighter, however. (You only use the 100Hz interpolation when watching 50Hz TV and DVD, and not on Blu-ray) It says also Dolby True HD on the back of the chassie, but according to BeoCare the True HD
