Take it back. They sold you the IR wire. Have them call Tech Support if they can't figure it out. In fairness, MCL hasn't been the 'current standard' in just over 12 years, so we can perhaps cut your dealer some slack. It's likely that MCL will be a bit hard to come by. If you continue to have trouble, get in touch with one of the

If there is only 1 link, then the ML cable is wired 'straight through'. Assuming that you've tested the ML cable and it is OK, then try the following: Unplug the Active kit from ML and AC/Mains. Do the same for the 9000, unplug ML and AC. Re plug the Active kit (ML first, then AC). Make sure the ML is nice and snug. Next reconnect ML at

hello again Al, Unlike your question concerning the Sci-ATL box, in this case more cables are better. Use AV-4, you'll be glad later. Run EVERYTHING, yes, everything. You could skip the composite (CVBS), but what's one more little cable at a party like this? ;-) For data run a mini male-to-male cable, unless the brigand who sold you the DVD

Simple, really. Use an HDMI cable, and the IR flasher you mentioned. Plug the IR flasher into one of the IR ports for AV 1-4 on the BeoVision 9, and the HDMI into any one of the 4 HDMI ports (A-D). Go to the 'Connections' menu (menu-menu) on the BV-9, select the AV input to which you attached the IR cable (which you should have already mounted

NO. Please see me post above. Congrats on the seyp, I love the 4500 system Ross

Read carefully Grasshopper.... I said 'In addition....' not 'Or instead....' In a room with a BV-7 MK-3/US EVERYTHING in the room connects to the BV-7. All of the BeoLabs via PowerLink, the BeoSound 9000 via MasterLink. What most don't know is that the fully wired PL cables which ship in the BeoLab 5 box allow the BV-7 to 'tell'

2 ways to go here: As already pointed out, you could use an MCL 'starter' cable connected to the 'speaker 2' output on the 4500, and splice that to a special 'MCL' cable meant just for the 3500. Alternatively, you could purchase a BeoLink Converter, connect that to the Tape 2/Aux socket on the 4500 and then run the newer ML network

Based on your example, and assuming that all items are in the same room, the 'correct' method is: BeoLab 5's via PowerLink to the BV-7. BeoSound 9000 via Masterlink to the BV-7. BV-7 in 'option 2'. In addition, with this set of equipment, you can also run S/PDIF co-axial cable from the BS-9000 directly to one of the BeoLab 5's

Hi Paul, The A8's are covered by a 3 year exchange warranty. Any dealer can perform the swap. If the A8's are over 3 years old, or might have suffered 'abuse' then, in the US, any B&O dealer can exchange them for $60 plus tax, and shipping (as applicable), something similar ought to be in effect elsewhere in the world. If you need

When using front speakers without a center channel, you MUST hook them to the 'Center' output (using a splitter, or daisy-chaining them together; this is why there is not a 'none' option for the Center output. I'm certain that the Beosystem 3 can figure out just what to do with the sound. Russ
