Thanks Peter - that's my mind made up - Penta's it is - one more thing, will I notice much difference if I go for passive ones run through the MCLP and use the 4000's as rears or am I better selling off the 4000's and getting MKII or III's? I might keep the 4000's anyway for my kitchen but just wondered if I don't need that

Hi, I have an Avant 32, DVD1, BS3000 connected to an iPod and Beogram TX turntable. Currently the speakers are Beolab 4000's connected to the avant. The problem is I find the sound when listening to music lacks in oomph, it's clear but as not as clear as warm and big as when I had my S75's hooked up through an MCLP amplifier. So I am thinking

IMO there are two problems, one is if the files are MP3 - then they will be low quality so try recording in Apple Lossless and the second is how you are feeding the 6000's, if it is directly to the headphone connection then this may be affecting teh sound - so the best thing would be to get an iPod Doc and connect that to the speakers - make sure

Please count me in too. Andrew

It seemed unlikely to us that it was the board as it's electronic so

Thanks blackrix - saved me an expensive mistake probably - there is no expander in the menu so will leave will alone. Thanks again, always good to have this forum to refer too if in doubt

Just seen one of these on e-bay and I'm wondering if it would work with an RF Avant VCR. The manual seems to point to it being for MX Tv's but then a previous version of this expander worked with Avants as well by setting the AV Socket to Video Tape 2

Hi thanks for the reply, I tried your suggestion and I can change the CAM Corder input to STB (V.AUX), I'm then prompted for the type of STB. Does this mean then that if I connect via masterlink, pressing V.AUX would bring up the menu for Beomedia 1? and be able to control it from other rooms? If so that's brilliant and I will look at getting

I have a Beovision Avant RF with VCR, connected to it is a DVD1 and Sky box - if I buy a Beomedia 1 does anyone have any idea how I could connect it?, do I need an AV expander? or is it just not possible?
