re: The RCA Ports on the back From memory, I beleive these are pre-amp out and and pre-amp in - on the UK version it was a Din Plug with the wires crossed over but on the Beomaster 5000 (1980's) had phono plugs so maybe it's the same on the BC7000. The intention was that you could connect a graphic equaliser in between which was all the rage

Yes, logic says it should work - I'm going to order the masterlink cable and then test it - otherwise looks as if the only way is through the second scart socket setup as decoder on TV and then pressing link tv in the linked rooms. Will let you know. BTW - still the best TV I've ever owned and still very happy with it. Andrew

I'd love to be able to hear a comparrison between the two - I prefer in lots of ways the design of the 70's/80's equipment such as the old beosystem 8000 and M series speakers and did at one point think of changing to that series. The only practical problem I could see would be integrating it with the more modern stuff for surround sound

Don'l know if anyone knows or has tried this, but if there is an input on the Avants Camcorder input will it be displayed in other link rooms if Camera or Camcorder are selected as the source - and everythign is linked etc.? Andrew

Thanks for the replies and clearing up the RGB confusion. I've got my Sky+ box plugged into the AV Socket now and this appears to be fine, I've plugged the DVD into the Video socket on the Sky+ box and this also works and sends an RGB signal through to the Avant. Both are controlled by a lintronic box. Have set the AV socket to DVD so to switch

Hi there I finally picked up my Avant last night in a van, got it home and the picture is superb - a much better buy than a cheap LCD. Anyway, I have a couple of questions - the set is type 84/21 with SW 3.2 The remaining two scart sockets on the back are marked AV and Decoder: 1) Are they both RGB? 2) There is no STB Controller fitted - is this why

I fitted a STB-C once to an MX7000 and it worked brilliantly - you have to remove the satellite module though to fit it (if it has one) the only reservation I'd have is that it's not future proof and I don't know if it would support future boxes. I can recommend the Lintronic box which I'm using as it is a fully programable IR Converter

Thanks guys for the advice - it's a 32" RF VCR - I think though I'm going to play safe and have a little patience and get someone with a van to move it - it's not far but having waited so long a couple more days isn't going to make much difference. Thanks again Andrew

Hi there - I've just bought an Avant 32" - does anyone know if it will fit face down with loads of padding etc. into a Vauxhall Nova/Corsa - not sure which one it is - it's a small modern hatchback?, thought it better to ask before I try! Thanks Andrew

I have Sky+ and the remote from that will control limited functions on a B&O TV - so they must have both types of transmitter in the remote? However I ended up going down the Lintronic route as my TV is an LX4500 and therefore no STB - it's well worth the money and is more or less future proof, the other advantage is that you choose the key
