Don't know if anyone can help with this - I have an MX3500 in my bedroom and an Avant in the living room - I cannot get any sound on my MX when I press Sat or Vtape - pictures come up from the avant but no sound - in the kitchen there's a non b&o TV with a beolink active and the sound comes out of the speakers and also the TV in the kitchen

Easiest way is to connect a 5 PIN DIN plug to 4 Phono plugs into the powerlink socket and connect the sub to the two phono plugs with a signal - I learnt this a while ago when I bought a Beolink Active kit and connected an amp and speakers to teh powerlink socket as an interim measure until I could afford some Active Speakers.

I've e-mailed Michael to find out if it can just join Masterlink and pick up commands from that network to relay onto the lintronic box and control non B&O equipment - it would be fantastic if it did - if not you can drive upto 2 IR Receivers from 1 box.

I had the same predicament as my Avant didn#t have a STB-C built in but I had a lintronic box so used that - the great thing about programming it yourself is that you can get the buttons to do what you want and you remember how to use it - for example I don't access channels directly so was abole to program information on button 1 instead of having

I agree with Wirralsimon - I can't see the logic of buying the B&O Mp3 player when an iPod is considered expensive - I've had my 30Gb one for 3 years and it's full - I will buy another iPod with a bigger drive though. On another note am I right that at least the iPod can be used at home and controlled through a Beo4 (ridax etc.) but

Thanks everyone - that was the answer

However in B&O's defence they do build in a set top box controller, giving the customer choice in the way in which they receive digital programs and it's upgradeable as technology changes - such as HD etc. Biggest plus point has to be that you can controll the box you choose with your B&O remote. On the other hand for the cost of building

I picked up a masterlink cable today to link my avant into my bs3000 - I've set the avant to link option 2 and the bs3000 to 0 and everything works, apart from the fact that sometimes I want the radio on and to be able to have the picture on the TV whilst I'm waiting for something to come on - but everytime I switch to the radio the avant switches

I think it does depend on yoru colour scheme and that of the other pieces of kit - mind you teh white would look great next to a Mac and iPod in white - the philosophy maybe ties in with an earlier thread on Braun design? I saw the white BV today at my dealers and it looked really cool - much better than I imagined. My favourite colour schemes have

How do you change the config to Avant?, I didn't realise that could be done.
