Since my cynical view of the BS5 has led me to this initial conclusion (which I hope is wrong): the only "new" innovation is MOTS... how about B&O licensing MOTS to software developers as a plug in for other music players??? (apologies if this has already been suggested) I know I'd like to experience MOTS at home without the $5000+ price point. I am

avus17: When I see the new BeoSound 5 I simply can not like this design, I think I will keep my BeoSound 9000 MKIII for a long time, and for a 1/2 of Beoound 5 money buy a new I-Mac with 1 Tera of hard disc space + BeoPort, then I have CD playback, terestrial radio, internet radio and MP3 playback via BeoPort and a stylish ever green design of BeoSound

moxxey: BTW Peter, maybe B&O should do what Apple have done recently - move to yet another display connector. They've now changed something like 3 times in 10 years. I've got no motivation to look it up, but this new Mini Port or whatever it's called is now a new way of connecting Apple equipment to their latest screens. Anyone who buys

Can anyone out there look in the PUC list B&O has to see what models of TiVO and Panasonic DVD players are available, and list them here please? Or even send me a private email. Thanks, Sal

This may be silly of me to ask, but have you actually tested to see if the timer works, even though it may state "no more" on the display? The "no more" could mean that the BS9000 has no more timers to display, I can remember encountering the "no more" on both my BS9000 and the BS4000 when I scroll through options and run

Affineur, Let me know how you make out with your flashing of the TiVO. I have been unable to control my TiVO HD at all through the BV8, so I have been relying on Lintronic for IR purposes. The only TiVO that my dealer could find to upload to the PUC was "G-TiVO" and now the question is at B&O of America. the G-TiVO option does NOT operate

My opinion, which, althuogh somewhat different than that of BeoBerlin, shares much of his frustration with B&O's perceived "arrogance." What can we say is B&O's distinguishing hallmark when compared to other (non-consumer) brands, and do those characteristics deserve the premium that B&O charges? I think the materials,

I apologize if this question (1) has been asked before, or (2) is blasphemous to the B&O community: Have we asked ourselves what the Beosound 5 will provide to Beophiles? Will the Beosound 5 be another product that's viewed as too little too late? Will the wow factor be in the design, or in the functionality? How friendly will it be if it is

RussR: BS: I think you might be a bit behind the crest of a breaking wave, but you're not far behind.... I am fortunate to have a BS-9000 and an AppleTV in my living room: and while I find myself using the ATV more and more, I am not yet ready to box up the 9000. On the other hand, my former house-mate has a 400-450 disc DVD collection, which continues
